Moalboal Snorkeling Day Tour from Cebu: Sardine Run, Turtle Point & Kawasan Falls Canyoneering Experience | Philippines

We were picked up at our hotel on time, we arrived in Moalboal at the prescribed time and this gave us some flexibility in our schedule for the rest of the day. The sardine run was what you might expect, a whole bunch of people hanging out on the edge of a shelf watching turtles and sardines do they thing. The Kawasan Falls Canyoneering Experience was pretty amazing. We started with an optional zipline to save us 30 minutes of hiking - yes, it was worth the 600 php person! then we started a 4 hour trek through the 'wilderness' (some areas had handrails and cement stairs). Our guides were awesome and helped us get through the lines of people waiting to perform each 'confidence test'. There were 4 or five jumps and some could be done multiple times if you were up to it. The guides we were always taking pictures, so the trip is well documented. This was a great adventure!

Lunch was sumptuous and served in generous portion. The tour guides, especially Kuya Cecil and Cyril were so patient with us and took beautiful pictures of our awesome, breathtaking adventure! :))

Once we arrived in Moalboal they asked if we wanted to dive instead of just snorkelling, which we did and was awesome swimming among millions of sardines. We also rent a go pro and the dive masters took us so many videos and pictures .(700 pesos for the go pro and 4000 pesos for 2 people dive, 1500 if you have license, 2500 if like me you don’t and need a dive master following you.) The canyoonering was also fun and unexpected, the tour guides took us so many pictures and videos, carefully carrying my phone throughout all the experience which wasn’t waterproof . I really wanted to mention them but I only remember Peter’s name. Super recommended

The whole process was smooth and efficient. Driver picked us up on time, and we met two other travellers who are really friendly in the join in tour. The snorkelling instructors and canyoneering instructors are all super friendly and take good care of us to make sure we are having a good time! :)

The admin was very responsive as I only booked less than 24 hours to activity. Instructions & communication was very clear. Driver didn’t talk much but brought us to destinations efficiently and acceded to requests for brief stops to get snacks. Guides (Chris for Moalboal & Genevieve for Canyoneering)were friendly and helped us take great videos. No photos coz we forgot to bring camera.

Driver is punctual and tour guide is helpful. Can watch sardines run and sea turtle. Kawasan fall experience is amazing.

Although the weather was gloomy and rainy but when we saw the magical coral reef world with sardines and turtle it was all worth it. Canyoning was challenging physically but a lot of fun, it’s great to challenge oneself and go out of comfort zone. This trip is definitely a must do in Cebu.

We were picked up at 6:00 and departed. The driver also took care of breakfast. We arrived at Moalboal at 9:00. We applied anti-fog to our masks and entered the beach. The water quickly became deeper and a school of sardines appeared in front of us. The weather was good and the visibility was amazing! I was impressed by the number of sardines! I was able to take off my life jacket, so I dived a little. The guide took a good video of me. I was grateful. For lunch, we had a homemade home-cooked meal that was still hot. It was delicious! For dessert, we had apple mango. It was luxurious. With our energy recharged, we set off for canyoning at 12:00. We were asked whether we wanted to trek to the starting point or zipline P600/person, but we chose the zipline without hesitation. It was long and pleasant! I was scared of the 3m jump in canyoning, but thanks to the support of Peter and Jerry, I managed to conquer 10m. There was a lot of nature, the beautiful color of the water, and the thrill of the jump. Everything was out of the ordinary and an unforgettable experience. I felt like I was able to recapture the innocence of my childhood. I truly enjoyed it. He took tons of photos and videos, and there were lots of great expressions. Thank you, Jerry. We finished changing at 3pm. We got there at 7pm despite the traffic jam. Thanks to the driver for your hard work. It requires a lot of stamina, so it might be tough if you don't exercise regularly. This is a tour you definitely want to take part in!

Thank you very much for the guide, he is very friendly and has excellent photography skills. It is recommended to bring your own sports camera so that the tour guides can take pictures for you. This was the best trip I had in Cebu.

The drive from Cebu to Mopal takes about 3 hours. The customer service said that scuba diving costs 1500 pesos per person, but the actual charge is 2000 pesos. However, the overall experience is very good. The dive guide will actively find creatures for you to see, and will also help with our own go pro to take pictures. The adventure trip to Mount Kawah is really amazing. The Zipline is 600 pesos one way, which is longer than Bohol, about 1 minute, but not so high. There is a 5m~10m diving at the back, and you can choose whether to jump or not. There is also a swing diving at the back for 10 pesos, which is very cheap. The tour guide is very good. He can still chat with you even if he doesn't speak English well. Finally, the driver doesn't talk much, but the speed is quite fast. It is recommended to take motion sickness medicine and fasten your seat belts. However, because of this, we saved a lot of time in the car.
