Kinmen | Shamei Old Street Hanfu ∙ Cheongsam Experience & Optional Transfer | In the Mood for Love

I wrote a longer review on Google Maps, but basically this was a super fun experience. The owner is so kind and generous. I was by myself and could only speak English, but she made me feel just as welcome as anyone else. I can't recommend it enough! Really fun and an incredible value! :)

There are various styles, allowing customers to choose their favorite clothing. I like it very much.

The store is inside Samet Old Street and cannot be accessed by car. You have to park near the town office. The store is not big, and at first glance it may seem a bit messy and old. However, the proprietress’s professional and friendly recommendations immediately dispelled our doubts. She also kept letting us try on various cheongsams. Each one was beautiful and it was really hard to decide. The price includes hair braiding. The lady boss is very good and can braid your hair beautifully even with short hair. The hair accessories and buns that match the Hanfu are really beautiful. There are also many props you can borrow in the store. The proprietress personally took us to a nearby western-style building on a hot day to help us take photos and provide action guidance. There is also an indoor space near the cheongsam shop where we can take photos, so we can take beautiful photos even if the weather is too hot. If you have a style you like, you can discuss it with the hostess. The experience is super great 👍 After dressing up and matching the scenery of Kinmen, it really feels like traveling back in time. The hostess is super professional.
