From a distance, the height of the rice tomb is about 50 meters, and its shape is like an upside-down rice bowl. It is a very beautiful mountain. Especially in spring and summer, the entire mountain will be rendered green, forming a very charming scenery.

Mount Aso in the Nakadake Caldera is not a single mountain, but the collective name for the five mountains inside the caldera, also known as the Aso Five Mountains. "Nakadake" is the only mountain where volcanic activity is still observed. The smoke eruption from Mount Aso was caused by Nakadake. The Nakadake crater is 600m in diameter and 130m deep. Tourists can visit the crater in person when no volcanic gas warning is issued.

Daikanbo Peak This is the best viewing spot on Mt. Aso, offering a 360-degree panoramic view. You can see the streets of Aso, the five mountains of Aso, and the Kuzu Mountain Range at a glance. The Aso Five Mountains seen from here resemble a lying Buddha, so it is called the "Nirvana Image". From autumn to winter, if you are lucky, you may even encounter a sea of clouds.

Aso Senri Sosenri has a great location with views of Nakadake spewing volcanic smoke, a large pond and horses grazing leisurely. It is one of Aso’s representative tourist spots. Summer is lush with greenery, and winter is shrouded in a magical world of silvery white. It is also attractive that you can enjoy different expressions in each season, and it is loved by many people all year round.
