I am a big fan of aot and wanted to visit Hita, the author Isayama’s hometown, for long. Hita is a place almost without public transport. My friends and I do not drive and this trip was only possible because of this customise car tour. My 80-year-old mother and I stayed in Yufuin and chose a one-day custom itinerary to go to Tsukuno Strawberry Garden, Kujo Yume Bridge and Yufuin Yunopei. Although there are 2 people, but chose the 7-seater car, the car is the latest Alphard, clean and spacious, convenient for the elderly more space to stretch their legs. The driver this time is Miao, a very gentle and considerate mother. We made an appointment to leave at the hotel at 8:15 am and after boarding she had prepared 3 preheated drinks for my mother and me to choose from to keep us warm in the very cold morning. Along the way, Miao will share the characteristics of the place, talk about Japanese culture, and even share family life, just like friends who have known each other for a long time. She is especially attentive, maybe she is a mother, my mother will be there when getting on and off the bus; and will see us in the distance when we walk back to the agreed place to get on the bus, and get off early to meet us us. Miao's service is so courteous and attentive. In addition, a great value-added service of this trip is a private translation. Miao is a Chinese who has immigrated to Japan for decades. He acts as our translator at every point, communicating with the store and buying tickets on our behalf. Thanks to her experience, it was very windy when we arrived at the Jiuzhongmeng Bridge, and even though it stopped raining, she suggested that we go buy a raincoat. Fortunately, I bought a raincoat as she suggested. It turned out that when I got to the bridge, it was really too windy in the canyon. Having a raincoat is not a rain shield, but a wind shield. If you don't wear a raincoat, you will really blow sick. That’s the benefit of having a local driver alert. In my opinion, the most correct and important aspect of choosing a chartered tour is safety. One of our points is the Nine-fold Dream Bridge, along the way up and down the mountain are single-lane two-way, narrow and many bends, and next to the cliff; It is very serious. So to go to these borders, I would recommend chartering a car, it would be safer and more comfortable to be picked up and dropped off by a driver who lives in the area and is familiar with the local road conditions. Overall, this charter experience was 101 points! PS: The last thing to mention is that this is a "Fukuoka chartered day trip", which means starting/finishing in Fukuoka, but I stayed in Yufuin, and the starting/finishing is the hotel in Yufuin; so I have to add a trip Fukuoka empty train to Yufuin 8000 yen cost.
