Hakone Shrine (about 40 minutes) Hakone Shrine is a famous shrine in Hakone Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is located on the shore of Lake Ashi and was founded in 757. The main deity is Hakone Okami. The shrine is famous for its vermilion torii and the torii on the lake. The latter stands in the water and contrasts with Mount Fuji, making it a classic photo spot.

10:40

Water Torii Gate at Lake Ashi (about 20 minutes) The water torii gate at Hakone Shrine is one of the most iconic sights in Japan. It is located on the shore of Lake Ashi. The vermilion torii gate stands in the water, with the Hakone Mountains and Mount Fuji behind it, forming a beautiful picture. This torii gate belongs to the "Peace Torii" series of Hakone Shrine, symbolizing the harmony between the shrine and nature.

11:10

Hakone Pirate Ship (about 30 minutes, at your own expense, 1,200 yen one way) Hakone Pirate Ship is a special tourist attraction in Hakone Town, Japan. The ship is based on an 18th-century European warship. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Fuji and the torii gate of Hakone Shrine while riding on Lake Ashi, and feel the retro atmosphere. Tickets (at your own expense, 1,200 yen one way) If you do not take the ship, you can take a car to Taoyuantai to take the cable car

11:40

Togendai Cable Car (about 30 minutes, one-way cable car fee included) The Hakone Ropeway overlooks the volcanic wonders of Owakudani along the way. On clear days, you can also see the magnificent scenery of Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi. The car adopts a panoramic glass design, with a wide field of vision, and the stop is "Owakudani" on the way. Includes a one-way cable car ticket from Togendai to Owakudani.

12:10

Owakudani (about 40 minutes) Owakudani is a famous volcanic relic in Hakone, Japan, formed by a volcanic eruption about 3,000 years ago. There are frequent geothermal activities here, the air is filled with sulfur steam, and the surrounding rocks are exposed, presenting a desolate and spectacular scene. Visitors can observe the fumaroles and boiling hot springs up close and feel the majestic power of nature.

13:50

Feeding swans at Lake Yamanaka (20 minutes) Lake Yamanaka is the largest and highest lake among the Fuji Five Lakes, located at the eastern foot of Mount Fuji. It is famous for its beautiful "upside-down Fuji" landscape. Elegant swans live on the lakeside. Visitors can row boats on the lake where swans swim, or feed the swans and interact with them. In summer, you can also enjoy the spectacle of "Diamond Fuji".

14:30

Oshino Hakkai (about 40 minutes) Oshino Hakkai is a group of eight natural spring pools located in Oshino Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. They are formed by melting snow from Mount Fuji after decades of filtration and are known as the "Jiuzhaigou of Japan". Each of the eight spring pools has its own characteristics, and the water temperature is maintained at around 13°C all year round. Visitors can taste the clear spring water that can be drunk directly.

We had a great clear weather so was able to see mount fuji at every spot. There was a little bit of traffic jam and the guide was flexible to change up the itinerary so that we were able to get some food for lunch. Some of the time spent at each spot had to be shortened and felt a little rushed but understood since there's so many locations. There was still sufficient time to take photos at each point and adequate toilet stops. No eating on the bus so do grab a bite before the tour starts. We got back in Tokyo station only around 8.15pm.

Though the timing for each destination is short, this is understandable as there are 5 spots to cover in 1 trip. We're able to visit all of them, and thankfully, Mt. Fuji showed up clearly that day. Kudos to our tour guide, Sakuragi, too. He monitors the time, and we're able to go back to Tokyo not too late despite the traffic that day.

The group was 10 people, easy to start. We were originally scheduled to be picked up at the hotel, but we found out the day before departure that it was not within the pick-up range, so we had to go by ourselves and part of the money was refunded. The driver planned the time very well. We went to 5 attractions, which is suitable for friends who love nature, but we didn't have time to buy souvenirs at the attractions because there were too many people and not enough time to queue.

1. We were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji. Although it was blocked by a cloud, it was still beautiful. On the way, Mount Fuji was reflected in Lake Ashi, which was so beautiful! Unfortunately, the Torii gate is inaccessible due to maintenance. 2. Owakudani is not far from Hakone Shrine by car. The smoking mountains and the smell of sulfur in the air, as well as eating the black eggs that can extend life by seven years, are a different experience. 3. Nikkei Street and Lawson are popular check-in spots. There are 6-7 stores around Mount Fuji, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to take beautiful photos. 4. The driver and tour leader, Xiao Li, provided cordial service from the beginning. He told us stories of scenic spots and specialties along the way, making the journey very comfortable.

The tour guide Tim is excellent! The bilingual switching is smooth, the history is introduced in detail, and the team members can always check if they need assistance, and will also tell them where there are photo spots, which is very considerate! The weather is nice and we can see Mount Fuji👍🏻

Mr. Sakuragi's introduction to each scenic spot and route is quite detailed. The Chinese and English dual-channel audio is very professional without losing a sense of humor. The itinerary is rich in content and the stay is just right. It won’t be too long and you won’t feel rushed. Big push

Although I was late in the morning because of Tokyo and arrived in Shinjuku later than scheduled, Xiaoyu’s immediate reply made me feel at ease. He is very professional and knows Japanese culture, customs and historical allusions very well. I gained a lot from his explanations along the way. We checked the weather and road traffic information in advance, and discussed fine-tuning the itinerary with the driver so that we could smoothly see part of Mount Fuji early in the morning and avoid the queues at Hakone Shrine to complete the photoshoot from the side. The reunion team members were also very cooperative and were not late. Everyone successfully completed all 5 scenic spots before 4 o'clock, and Xiaoyu played a major role. Driver Xiaolin was familiar with the road conditions and allowed us to reach every attraction safely and smoothly in the fastest time. It was really great! It was my first time to join a group tour in Japan, and I met such a great tour guide and driver. It was such a happy experience!
