I participated on June 1, 2025. The weather was good all the way from Christchurch to Queenstown. There were a total of 4 passengers that day, and a very comfortable tour bus was sent to pick us up. It just so happened that we all got on the bus at the Christchurch Bus Terminal. Remember to pay attention to the time on the voucher and arrive early, because the bus will depart on time when the time is up. The driver Grant is a kind uncle. Listening to him explain the history, industry, humanities, etc. of each region along the way, people can get to know New Zealand better. There will be some points on the road for people to get off the bus to take pictures or take a break. It was about 1 pm when we arrived at Mount Cook. It happened that the other 3 people got off the bus, and I was the only one left to continue to Queenstown. But Uncle Grant would not be casual just because I was the only guest. He still put on the microphone and explained the scenery along the way. Finally, it was about six o'clock when we drove to Queenstown. Because it was almost winter, the sky darkened quickly, so it was dark when we got off the hotel. The fastest way to get from Christchurch to Queenstown is by plane, but if you're not pressed for time and want to experience what a road trip feels like and have a full day to move around, you can try the bus option.

The bus will arrive and be called at the designated pick-up location. You can also get on the bus at the entrance of most hotels in the city. The driver will also explain the areas and information it passes along the way. The number of stops is sufficient and there is also a short time for you to stop at Mt Cook and Lake. Get off at Tekapo and other places and walk around. Not many people will take the whole journey from Christchurch to Queenstown, but I tried it and it was a good experience.

Misleading Pickup Info from KKDay in New Zealand I recently had a frustrating experience with KKDay regarding a tour I booked. The KKDay app displayed a pickup time of 7:30 AM, while the voucher indicated 7:20 AM. This discrepancy was not apparent, and we missed our bus by arriving at the app-stated time of 7:30 AM. Despite reaching out to customer service, KKDay refuses to acknowledge their responsibility, reiterating only the voucher's time. However, apps are designed to provide accurate and reliable information at a glance, which is where the issue arose. Their insistence on an "arrive 15 minutes early" policy should not overshadow the importance of consistent scheduling information. This case highlights a need for KKDay to synchronize their app and voucher details to prevent customer inconvenience. If anyone else faced similar inconsistencies, how did you resolve it?
