Nasu Animal Kingdom, which spreads over 43 hectares in the Nasu Highlands, is home to about 600 animals, from friendly animals to birds such as American bald eagles and penguins, and adorable cats and dogs. Unlike ordinary zoos, Nasu Animal Kingdom is designed not only to allow visitors to see and observe the animals, but also to enjoy close-up interaction with them. You can feed animals such as horses, alpacas, sheep, and penguins, and play with cats and dogs. In winter, you can see capybaras bathing in hot springs that flow directly from the source. Various performances are also held every day. These include the magnificent broads of birds of prey, a cat performance in which agile cats overcome obstacles, and a sheep-herding performance by enthusiastic sheepdogs. The facility is also friendly to dog lovers, with a spacious drag run. There are also restaurants and gift shops. Nasu Animal Kingdom is fun for both children and adults. It is also a perfect day trip from Tokyo, so why not spend a peaceful day with the animals?

The zoo is located on a mountain. It is very cold and windy in winter. It is recommended not to trust the weather forecast too much and be sure to bring a hat and gloves. There are activities until 2pm in the winter, so it is recommended to check the location of the activities and the types of things you want to see. In addition, the toilet basically does not provide air dryers and hand towels, so it is recommended to bring your own handkerchief. There are various feeding facilities in the park. Bring some extra 100 copper coins so you can have more fun.

It is recommended to come in spring and summer, as at least half of the park is closed in winter.

This time, I didn't have to wait in line for tickets either, so I was grateful to be able to use it again after visiting another facility the day before. I'm very grateful that it's convenient for domestic travel as well.

I went with a friend who loves animals. It was fun to feed the cute animals and watch the animal shows. I was glad to see the baby wolves.

All the shows were cancelled due to the rain. The squirrel hut was great. It was amazing to see the squirrels moving around under my feet so close, I wanted to watch them forever.

The park is planned very carefully and is parent-child friendly + pet friendly! It's very clean and you can watch animals up close. It's a great and happy experience😍

The design and planning of the park are very people-friendly, allowing the public to touch and observe animals at close range. It also has scheduled performances, delicious meals, clean and comfortable toilets, and rest areas. The transportation is convenient. If you take public transportation: JR Tohoku Shinkansen, then Get off at Sushiobara Station and take the scheduled park shuttle bus to get there~ If you rent a car and drive by yourself, there are many attractions in Nasu that you can arrange. If you don’t want to be in the crowded downtown area of Tokyo, Tohoku of Japan is really suitable for traveling and relaxing👍

It’s novel to be able to watch animals up close. It’s not crowded on weekdays during the summer vacation. There are many shuttle buses in the park. Check the time of each show in advance. It’s worth a visit! The food in the park is pretty good.
