北普陀山林木繁茂、風景優美，景區內分佈著北普陀禪寺下院、上院、觀音洞等寺廟建築。北普陀禪寺有飲牛泉、壽字石等景觀。主峰雞冠山海拔三百多米，山頂有老子雕像，若是天晴，可俯瞰景區全景，還可遙望錦州市區。還有觀音洞，是一座開鑿山崖而建的廟堂，供奉著觀音菩薩，附近還有月老廟、歷代高僧的靈古塔等古蹟。
