The Shanlan bus offers more food options, so it's a bit more expensive than the Haifeng bus. The itinerary from Changhua to Tainan is well-planned. Upon boarding, passengers are served snacks and tea (a unique sparkling honey-scented black tea, which I personally found delicious). The first stop is Shetou, where we started by eating guava and drinking guava leaf tea. The township head explained why Shetou is known for its socks and guava, followed by a tour from Lion Travel, who explained the history of Shetou. The Tongren Society outside the station has historical exhibits, displays of old-fashioned family-made stocking machines, and various stamps from different regions. After a short ride, we arrived at the second stop, Ershui, where local cultural and tourism workers provided a guided tour, quickly giving us a glimpse into Ershui's history. It seemed that Ershui produced many wealthy individuals in the past. There was also an introduction from Changhua Agricultural Rice & Grain Company (Changhua Agricultural Rice & Grain Company's name signifies showcasing the beauty of agriculture). Next, from Ershui to Tainan, we enjoyed some rather upscale bento boxes while admiring the beautiful scenery along the way. We made a brief stop at Chiayi Station (to allow faster trains to proceed), during which an announcement introduced the station. Before reaching Tainan, there was an announcement introducing the Chianan Plain, and announcements before the two previous stops also provided information. The snack information standees, bento menus, and tableware were all included as souvenirs, and overall, I was quite satisfied with the trip.
