This was our first trip to the suburbs (Gunma Prefecture). Our tour leader first took us to Fukigiri Falls. Even though it wasn't peak water season, the falls were still beautiful. Next, we went to Harada Farm, where apple and strawberry picking is available this season. Since we had already picked apples, we opted for strawberries this time. Overall, the strawberries were delicious and incredibly satisfying – totally worth it! After fruit, we still had some savory food for lunch, so the tour leader took us to a chain ramen restaurant for a hearty meal. Then, he drove us to Ikaho Onsen town. It started to drizzle, and we had an hour to spare, so we went to a hot spring for a relaxing bath. One thing to note: bring your own towel to the hot spring; otherwise, you'll have to buy one to dry yourself. (However, the downside was that the tour leader was late, and we waited for almost half an hour, but thank you for treating us to hot drinks!)

The initial assembly was far from smooth. The situation was confusing: the tour guide didn't use any yellow flags or other obvious identification, and the assembly point was already crowded with other tour groups. With other travel agencies, there were always banners with the itinerary name or clear signage, but Gogoday had nothing. We arrived long beforehand but couldn't find our group. The tour guide's communication was poor: several people in what appeared to be uniforms appeared, but when we asked if they were part of our group, the response was unfriendly; one person bluntly stated, "My group doesn't have any Chinese-speaking members." This made us even more panicked. It wasn't until much later that we heard someone call my name, finally ending the chaos. The trip hadn't even officially started, and we'd already experienced a close call. The orchard tour was perfunctory: Next, we went to the orchard. The tour guide only gave a brief verbal explanation at the payment area before letting everyone disperse. When we reached the fruit-picking area, orchard staff demanded receipts. Fortunately, we had the tour guide on LINE on the bus, and we were able to contact him urgently to regroup all the group members. After confirming the documents, we were able to start picking fruit smoothly. Throughout the process, we felt that the arrangements and instructions were very inadequate, and we hope that they can be improved.

Lavender was not in bloom yet. Tour is quite expensive considering that the lavender farm was a miss. The only good thing is the blueberry picking.
