九龍壁原是明初代王朱桂府前的照壁，在現存的三座九龍壁中，是建築年代比較早、尺度比較大、而又富藝術魅力的一座。此壁的建築結構全部使用黃、綠、藍、紫、黑、白等色琉璃構件拼砌而成。壁體由三部分組成：底部為須彌座，中部為壁身，上部為壁頂。東西兩端分別是旭日東昇和明月當空的圖案，並襯有江崖海水，流雲紋飾。
