Schedule

Day 1

Taitung → Fugang Pier → Orchid Island Night

Private shuttle service from Taitung Railway Station to Fugang Fishing Port or Taitung Airport.

Take a luxury cruise ship or plane to Lanyu, the Furusato of flying fish.

Upon arrival in Lanyu, a staff member will arrange for you to pick up your scooter. You will need to refuel the scooter yourself, which will cost approximately NT$100 per scooter (fuel costs are your responsibility). After arriving at your accommodation, please rest for a while.

Go to Bow and Arrow Hill to see the beautiful sunset over Orchid Island.

Lanyu-style meal (at your own expense)

*Choose one of the following activities: Orchid Island Night Observation (Evening of Day 1) or Guided Tour of the Underground House (Morning of Day 3)

Search for the animal inhabitants of Lanyu: Scops owls, coconut crabs, and weevils.

Day 2

Visit the best sunrise viewing spot on Orchid Island: from the viewpoint of Gunkan Rock, you can capture the sunrise rising from the sea.

Plank boats: The sunrise over Dongqing Bay and its tribal charm

Experience being surrounded by tropical fish and feeding them!

Day 3

Orchid Island → Taitung

Take a luxury cruise ship to Taitung or Houbihu

Upon arrival at Fugang Port, a private car will pick you up and transfer you to Taitung Railway Station.

With train schedules in mind, we set off home with a heart full of memories, reluctantly ending our unforgettable Orchid Island trip!

I was hesitant at first about purchasing the trip, but after placing the order, the travel agency was very forthcoming with any issues. Initially, they didn't have a room for six people, only four people with a single bed. Eventually, we finally found a B&B in Langdao Village. The rooms were quite spacious, but the building was older, and they were worried our noise wouldn't bother the neighbors. It was conveniently located right next to a kayaking spot. The itinerary included round-trip ferry tickets. We originally planned to board the ferry in Taitung, but the roads seemed difficult due to heavy rain. A few days before departure, we switched to Houbi Lake, which the agency quickly arranged. There's also free parking at Houbi Lake. After disembarking, it was a short walk to pick up our scooters. Someone helped carry our luggage to the B&B, and we rode our bikes there to begin our trip. The itinerary includes snorkeling 🤿 underground house tour and night viewing of horned owls 🦉. The B&B arranges snorkeling in the morning 🤿 (it's really not that hot), and a guided tour of the underground house in the afternoon. There is also a detailed explanation of how the underground house was built and some history. You can ask questions if you want to know anything. At night, we watched the horned owls 🦉. The tour leader seemed very experienced. He looked for animals and horned owls at night. You can take photos and videos. The tour guide also explained the stars in the sky 👍. Although it feels like there are only a few itineraries, it is really busy for 3 days and 2 nights. You have to follow the itinerary, watch the sunrise and sunset, and eat the food recommended by IG. It is really rich, but it is just ~ hot

Beautiful scenic spots with mountains and seas, and the underwater world is an outdoor wonderland. It is recommended to visit in summer. The active two-way communication after ordering is reassuring. The tour guide for night viewing of Scops Owls was very attentive and great.
