Half Day Tour | Night Squid Fishing Experience (Southern Phu Quoc)

The trip was a pleasant experience; the sunset over the sea was beautiful. Unfortunately, I didn't catch any squid, but a few others were lucky. At the end of the trip, we all had dinner together; it was a successful one.

In the windy season, it is impossible to catch squid, the water flows strongly, the fishing line is hooked together. Fun trip.

Watching the sunset at sea was very pleasant. My friend easily managed to catch some seafood, but unfortunately I wasn't successful. The seafood was so fresh and crisp, it was delicious! The seafood porridge, fried noodles, and boiled shrimp were also great. You can buy clams, mussels, and snails for an extra fee.

Chok spent over an hour fishing, with zero catches; only a few people caught squid. Dinner was rather leisurely, but the squid porridge was quite delicious. You can buy extra seafood at your own expense.

Staff provided good service and arrangement and trip is interesting basically. But unfortunately heavy raining on that day suddenly, it causes we cannot catch cuttle fish and staff are also to find tough to take care of us. Anyway, the trip is good and will try again next time 👍

It was my first time fishing at night. There were about 20 people on the boat. The experience lasted about 1-1.5 hours. We used very simple fishing gear, and even children could easily learn how to use it. The guide also taught everyone how to use it. It really depends on luck. There were about 3-4 people on the boat. If you caught something, you were lucky. If you caught something, you would get a dinner. I just missed the dinner. Some people gave up after fishing for a while. Dinner was simple. You could buy some shellfish from the captain as a side dish, but it tasted good and filled your stomach.

Before departure, the travel agency will confirm the itinerary with you, arrange to pick you up at the hotel at 4:30, and then go to the designated beach. The sailing time is from 5:30 to 6:30, and the fishing for small squid will start at 6:30, dinner will start at 7:15, and return to the ship at 8:00.

They will pick you up at the hotel, so you can chat with the people in the group. Otherwise, squid fishing is really difficult. It seems that only the crew members caught it, which must be quite skillful. Dinner can only be said to be ordinary. I only had some porridge and shrimp. However, the fees and the on-site seafood and beverage charges are not high. Overall, it is still worth a visit. Don't expect too much to catch it, it is really difficult. There are quite a lot of Korean tourists here, so you can chat with them.
