Half Day Tour | Night Squid Fishing Experience (Southern Phu Quoc)

The trip was a pleasant experience; the sunset over the sea was beautiful. Unfortunately, I didn't catch any squid, but a few others were lucky. At the end of the trip, we all had dinner together; it was a successful one.

In the windy season, it is impossible to catch squid, the water flows strongly, the fishing line is hooked together. Fun trip.

It was a great experience. We boarded the boat just in time for sunset, and the view of the sunset from the boat was beautiful and perfect for taking photos.

If you go expecting a sunset tour, you will be satisfied, but if you are primarily looking for squid fishing, you are likely to be disappointed. For pickup, an additional fee of 50,000 VND per person is required if your accommodation is located outside of Duong Dong. The pickup and drop-off vehicles were very pleasant and clean. As soon as we boarded the boat, they offered additional seafood options; we had originally planned to buy some, but we gave up because the prices were higher than expected. After watching the sunset from the boat, we moved to a fishing spot and tried hand fishing for about an hour. Although no one succeeded in catching anything today, it was an enjoyable experience. Perhaps because many people were upset about failing to catch squid, the guide kept emphasizing the experience. Since it is common to go empty-handed on boat fishing in Korea as well, I didn't mind too much, but I did feel it would have been better if we had moved between two or three fishing spots. After finishing fishing, we had dinner (conch, shrimp, squid porridge, fried noodles, and watermelon) before returning; the porridge was particularly delicious. Although I was disappointed not to catch any squid, I am very satisfied overall. It would be better to bring some simple snacks or drinks.

It was a shame we couldn't catch any squid, but it was a unique experience. The crew was friendly. The bathroom was a bit shabby (which is unavoidable).

I feel satisfied for the squid fish tour, especially for my special request to put luggage at vehicle, can be arranged! But if the duration of squid fishing can be a bit longer time, it will be perfect! 😉 I have recommended your tours to my friends, too! Thank you so much for all arrangements!

This was my second time participating in the first day of Phu Quoc. I was moved by the beautiful sunset that I witnessed shortly after setting sail. Thao, the operator of the tour company, was very helpful and made sure to communicate with me thoroughly from the time I booked until the day of the tour. Harry, our tour guide, was also fantastic.

Although we didn't catch any marine life, the dinner was plentiful, the tour guide made good arrangements, and it was a great experience. The boat was also very clean, so it's worth a try.
