The boat ride against the flow of the waterfall current was exhilarating. The ride was optional and cost 10CHF per pax and it is highly recommended. The most powerful waterfall in Europe. The visit to the quaint little medieval village of Steine by the Rhine was lovely. The beautiful facade of the buildings brings you back in time to ancient history when Kings and Knights ruled the land.

The tour quality is good, with two tour guides in front and behind, and detailed explanations in English and German. The waterfall is worth the extra 15 minute boat ride.

The tour guide introduced the scenery along the way and the history of Switzerland in detail. The Rhine Falls is very spectacular and worth stopping at. The town of Stein is a very beautiful and distinctive town. It is a great itinerary.
