Taoyuan, Taiwan | Taiwan Kuo Yuan-Yi Nostalgic Cake DIY Experience

The class was easy to follow for our group (4 boys aged from 8-15). The outcomes are delicious! Highly recommended!

There were some hiccups with my own time but staff was very accommodating and friendly and with that we were very grateful. Pineapple tarts made was very delicious! The Shifu was fine conversing with both Mandarin and Eng.

Initially I thought this was at the TaoYuan store, it's not! Just make sure to check the location carefully before going to the wrong place. We bought two parent/child tickets, which meant two sets for two children with parent supervision, and each person got a $50NTD voucher to spend (can be combined). My kids loved the class and the cakes smelled so good when it was baking. The activity is from 11-1pm so we were SOOO hungry! There's not many food places especially if you don't have a car so plan accordingly.

The entire baking process was smooth and manageable. My 4 and 6 yr-olds enjoyed themselves!

This Kuo Yuan Ye pineapple cake DIY experience exceeded my expectations! The instructor was both professional and humorous. He not only taught us how to make the cakes but also shared the stories behind them. The process was simple and fun, even beginners could easily complete it. The feeling of accomplishment was overwhelming when my homemade pineapple cakes emerged from the oven. The nostalgic displays were also amazing. This wasn't just a baking class; it was an in-depth journey combining culture, history, and cuisine. Highly recommended!

It's fun to let the children do it by themselves, from kneading the flour to making and packaging.

It is very suitable to arrange half a day to come here to make pineapple cakes. The ones you make yourself are the best. Hehe

I can't speak English or Chinese, but I participated in making pineapple cake. There was no one who could speak Japanese, but everyone was really kind to me. The staff member translated for me on her smartphone, and the teacher carefully taught me in English and the Japanese words and gestures he knew. The Taiwanese participants around me were also considerate, which made me very happy. I also got to eat delicious pineapple cake, and it was a great experience. The location is inconvenient to get to by bus, so I think it's best to take a taxi.
