Salzburg Day Tour from Vienna | Austria

The departure from Vienna took longer than expected, but the pick-up and drop-off spots were not crowded. The tour guide was very good, switching between English and Spanish. We departed promptly at 7:15 AM. After a 30-minute break at the stop, we first visited the lake to admire the scenery, arriving in Salzburg around 12:15 PM. Unfortunately, the rain dampened our enjoyment of the tour. However, the tour guide was very professional and patiently explained the details. We had free time around 1:30 PM. We returned at 4 PM, and I especially appreciated not stopping at the stop and returning directly to Vienna. 😆 It was great to be able to leave at 7:30 PM!

Driving a car from Vienna to Salzburg does require more commuting time, but it would be nice if we could add some points on the way, such as taking us on a short tour of the lake instead of just resting at a rest stop!

I never imagined that there are so many shops and restaurants in this place, plus the Christmas market, you will be so dazzled that you will have no time to eat or buy anything! The tour guide's introduction was lively and interesting. The female driver's handcart was very stable and the road was slippery in rainy weather. It was because everyone had some back pain due to the long-distance bus ride!
