Castles Linderhof & Neuschwanstein from Munich

need some walking in both Castles. It is better to bring walking stick.

Our tour guide Cansel was super great. She was very fun and heartwarming. She explained the history of the castle in an interesting way and gave us great food recommendations. Also we were given a lot of time for walk around so I appreciate that freedom, especially when we lucked out with magical winter weather that I truly admired.

Joined with almost full bus travelers and run like a clock. Kristin was good storyteller clear and concise backgrounds on the imperial family. Good story on the mysterious death of late King. Linderhof internal palace was small to my surprise. Note no photos allowed on both castles. Whole trip 8:45am - 7:30pm. Didn't feel that long as we stopped 2 places with stories thrown in between and nap time on the way back to city (1.30mins drive). Some delay when 4 were late returning to bus at Neuschwanstein castle. Kristin went on short search party and all ends well. No fault of the guide, information was given clearly & Kristin approached each one again for questions. Probably will help if they have some printed info sheet (we can fill in the time & bus name etc. I feel the difficulty was in identifying Kristin among all the crowds milling about and remembering the end meeting place.

Tour guide Elizabeth was funny and told us the 2 castles' stories on the way, journey was smooth though it rained all day but gave the castle a mysterious vibe in our pictures. Was an enjoyable Sunday from the quiet Munich.

The tour was well-organised. Not too rushing, having ample time to explore & take pictures. The tour guide (didn't manage to catch her name) was entertaining with her stories. She is very knowledgeable and is precise in giving us instructions on where/when to meet up. I queued for around 20 mins to get to Mary's Bridge for the perfect view of Neuschwanstein Castle (Do not miss this!!) Would be good to take the bus (€3) or horse carriage up to Mary's bridge & take a walk down to the pickup point (about 40 mins). I took bus both ways.

Tour guide, Christine was very knowledgeable and patient. She managed the timing well throughout the trip. The separate guided tour within Linderhof & Neuschwanstein Castles were interesting. The total entrance fee for both castles cost 33 euros plus another 3.5 euros per person for the return bus trip to Neuschwanstein Castle. Highly recommended.

The German tour guide was friendly and helpful. She speaks English well too. She gave sufficient information on the 2 attractions & introduced many places along the journey. She also did not hesitate to provide me with additional information on the local transport at the end of the tour. She really took good care of her guests. The driver was a great one. He drove in a safe manner which brought us back to the drop-off point safely. Yes, we tipped both of them at the end of the day, for the service provided. 😊

Our guide Elizabeth is knowledgeable and humorous. A very enjoyable day out to see both castles. Both are splendid in their own rights. The pace is comfortable. We walked up 1.6km with our 8yo and it was drizzling lightly. Still very doable. Highly recommended!
