[Beginner-friendly] Moalboal Thousand Sardines Scuba Diving Experience & Pescador Island Tour in Cebu | Philippines

Good trip. Saw column of sardine as advertised. There is option to add a second introductory dive in Pescador Island, where we saw a whale shark. Long drives but a trip worth taking!

The sardine run was beautiful, the sea turtle parade was beautiful, the clownfish and coral reefs were beautiful—the whole trip was well worth it and an unforgettable experience.

The overall itinerary was excellent, and the one-on-one scuba diving session was very reassuring.

It's a great experience for a novice. The coach is very professional and you can enjoy the ocean with peace of mind.

What impressed me the most was the diving instructor teaching my friend to dive. I have a diving license and diving experience, but my friend has none. But the instructor made us both have a happy experience. He took good care of my friend and taught him some basics. Skill.

The deep diving place is in Mobao. Because we live in Mobao, the driver scheduled to pick us up at 7:00, but due to a flat tire, he didn't arrive until 7:45. It turns out that the diving shop is near the hotel, haha. The driver paid for our GoPro because we were late. If you don’t have a diving certificate, you will be provided with an instructor (you have to tell yourself). The water was turbid that day, but the scenery was still good. The sardines were more spectacular from the perspective of deep diving than snorkeling. After deep diving, the boat took us to a small island near Mobao for snorkeling (life jackets are optional). Be careful not to swim too far after getting off the boat. If the water quality is not good, you will be very tired when you swim back to the boat. The locals will not pay special attention to you. After the trip, the driver took us back to Cebu City (about a three-hour drive). Since we didn’t have breakfast, we took out Jollibee and treated the driver to some.

We booked the trip and it showed that it was only us(two people attending the trip). The driver is hard-working, and considerate of our needs. We did two scuba dive (need to pay for extra scuba dives) and a saw squalls of sardines. The scenery is fantastic! He suggested as some local restaurants to eat. A wonderful trip we had!

This itinerary is not boring, it is very themed, it is not too tiring, and it is not too long. It is quite worth it. Fortunately, the driver and diving instructor I paired with this time are also very good. I had a lot of fun.

It was my first time scuba diving in the Philippines. The instructor explained it carefully before entering the water because it was my first time and I didn’t know how to wear fins in the water. The instructor was very considerate and helped you when you entered the water. He would swim with you behind you and take you to the Turtle Gang.
