Schedule

Day 1

At the start of your tour, get picked up from your hotel and drive through the Bali countryside

Make your first stop at the famous Ubud Monkey Forest Sanctuary, home to over 500 long tail macaques. See the monkeys roaming around in their natural habitat

From the monkey sanctuary, head north of Ubud to visit Kumulilir. Challenge yourself to ride the 20-meter Jungle Swing to the jungle valley or rice terraces. Enjoy the views and take Instagrammable pictures during this once-in-a-lifetime experience

After that, acquaint yourself with Indonesia’s world-famous Luwak Coffee at its coffee plantation. Learn about the unusual method of producing the coffee, which involves the coffee beans being eaten and defecated by Asian palm civets, then collecting the partially-digested beans from the forest floor. After sampling the other coffees and teas made at the plantation, opt to taste a Luwak coffee, too.

On the way back to Ubud, pass by the Ceking Rice Terrace at Tegalalang to marvel at the UNESCO-listed rice paddies, one of Bali’s most iconic sights. Learn about the pioneering subak system (the Balinese cooperative irrigation system) for which the terraces are known

Finish your tour by being dropped back to your accommodation in Ubud

On the day, we were picked up at 10:00, which was good because we had requested a driver who could speak Japanese. We went on a swing in Ubud and it was really fun. It was a little scary to feel like we were going to be dug out into the jungle, but my daughter was very happy. I was wondering if we should rent a dress to take a photo for Instagram, but the swing time was less than 5 minutes, so we didn't really need to rent one. If you want to take more photos, you might want to rent one. On the day, we couldn't go around the photo spots in the park because of a sudden downpour, but there was a basket next to the shop, so we were able to take photos there. When I said I was hungry, the driver took me to a shop.

I was looking for a tour that would take me around swings and rice terraces in about half a day, so I joined this tour because it was perfect. Our guide was friendly and spoke good Japanese, and we talked about various things while we were there, so it was great that I was able to learn about Balinese culture and life through conversation. I felt it was a good deal that the entrance fee and the swing fee were included! (I had seen in advance that depending on the place, the swings cost more than 3,000 yen just to ride them...) We didn't have anything in particular, but the guide said that if there were any other places we wanted to stop by, we'd be happy to stop by, so it might be better for people who have places they want to stop by!

The guide not only showed us around the tourist spots, but also took us to a souvenir shop where we could buy souvenirs such as Ata and sweets when we told him that we hadn't bought any souvenirs yet! At the end of the trip, he also took us to Jimbalaya Beach and had dinner at Sunset Beach, making it a very fulfilling tour! He took photos at each tourist spot and it was a wonderful day full of memories. He spoke Japanese very fluently and talked to us moderately during the trip, giving us information about the towns we were traveling to while we were resting in the car! Choosing this tour made my day in Bali very fulfilling!
