Chiang Mai: Elephant Sanctuary & Doi Inthanon Hiking Half-Day or Full-Day Tour with EN/CN Guide

Our family had an amazing time at the elephant sanctuary and the other incredible places we visited along the way. The rich history and wonderful experiences at each stop made our trip truly special. A huge thanks to our tour guide, Mod, whose passion, humor, and deep knowledge brought everything to life. He shared fascinating insights while ensuring everyone felt comfortable, offering choices that suited our preferences. The door-to-door shuttle service was also incredibly convenient, making the journey smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

The whole activity was exactly as described, full experience and even food and aspiration was very luxurious!!

Had a wonderful trip with this day tour. Starting with morning hotel pickup to drop Sandy kept us entertained and he also clicked good pictures of us. We went to living green park camp 3, had great fun with elephants, we feed the elephant then went for walk with elephants and finally we bathed elephants in the river.Also had tasty Padthai lunch there. In 2nd part we went to Doi Inthanon, twin pagoda was good but gem of this trip was the 1.5 hour trail walk. This was not crowded only our group of 12 and we walk through the nature saw 2 beautiful waterfall. This trip was full of fun and good memories.

What I wasn’t so fond of: 1. While I understand that elephants performing tricks for photos might appeal to some, it felt a bit unnatural to me. 2. I had hoped for a panoramic view at the highest point but none to be seen. 3. The hike itself was more of a walk than a proper hike. This might actually be a bonus for those seeking a more relaxed experience though What I loved: 1. It’s clear how much the caregivers (the mahouts) love and care for the elephants. Their bond is truly heartwarming to witness. 2. Overall, the elephants looked happy and free! 3. The sanctuary, the lush forest, and the waterfalls were absolutely stunning. 4. The organization was flawless, ensuring a smooth and stress-free day. 5. Our guide หวาน is such a cute, smiling, and energetic person, and her knowledge really added depth to the tour. Plus, she made sure everyone felt included and taken care of.

A truly wonderful experience surrounded by the breathtaking nature of Thailand.Our guide "Adam" tried very hard to give us a fantastic experience and he succeeded;) He was very detailed in his explanations and absolutely friendly. The same with our driver "Damian". My personal highlight were the elephants. We were able to spend a lot of time with them. The elephants seem to be very well and have a huge area to walk around in. Riding was also forbidden, which I absolutely support. The hike, the lovingly prepared lunch, the visit to the highest point in Thailand (Doi Inthanon) and the elephants were all more than successful and I would happily recommend this to others 🙏😊

If you have to choose only one tour, this is a great program that combines both elephant sanctuary and Doi Inthanon National Park hike+pagodas in one day and saves travelling time. Our tour guide was friendly and explained well. Start off the day at Living Green elephant sanctuary and had a simple vegetarian padthai lunch there. Followed by visiting Doi Inthanon highest point and Royal Pagodas, and finally a 1.5-2h hike through waterfall and paddy fields.

The drive was a bit long, but it was worth it. It rained heavily in the afternoon, so we went to have coffee instead and visited a very beautiful waterfall.
