Remember to exchange red tour to blue tour at stop 5. Look at the church opening hour 😉

If you are having a day only in Auckland, by all means this is the best option with cheapest fare you get to use the tour for next 24 hours repeatedly.

My travel companion's flight was delayed, so I had to stay in the city alone. I easily toured the city attractions via the hop-on hop-off bus. October to April is peak tourist season, and the blue route connects directly to the blue route at the museum without having to change buses. If I only wanted to take the red route, I would need to change buses here. The red and blue routes take about two hours in total, and I was even more glad I chose this tour option when the weather was bad!

The ticket collection method is very convenient. You can find the service staff at a fixed location and they will assist you in issuing the ticket and you can get the car right away!

Mission bay (Bastion point look out), Parnell village, and art gallery were the places we hopped down to this time. Unexpectedly, the bus arrived on time and the ticket exchange booth was easy to find, with a movable table facility. If you wait patiently, you will find that they are very punctual and they also answered my questions about the stops very carefully. The photo is of the memorial fountain next to Mission Bay.

There is a blue line in summer, which is just right for me to go to Mount Eden and the zoo to see kiwi birds. The ride was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly, but the website did not clearly explain the ticket exchange location. I exchanged tickets at SKY TOWER, and the boarding location and ticket exchange location were different. It was not until nearly 9 o'clock in the morning that the official sales staff in uniforms began to set up stalls in front of SKY TOWER. The boarding location had to cross the road to the opposite bus stop to take the bus.

The bus is not convenient. At zoo the location we were dropped was street far: street downhill below the zoo entrance square and car parking lots area and NOT official stop with logo sign although it was slightly closer to the entrance but 5 minutes walk uphill. After zoo visit i waited at the area I got off at 11:45 At 12 noon a bus came and I showed the brochure so that the driver could see: she saw but I was ignored. I ran after the bus waving the pamphlet but it didn’t stop. It did U turn at the official zoo stop-nobody-and gone. I walked up to the stop and waited for the next bus but none came at 12:30. I tried to get a cab but could not as my phone couldn’t connect to the network. So I kept waiting and finally at past 1pm I could hop on. I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to hop on. I wasted precious time for only three and half day in Auckland visit flying 10 hrs
