Cairns Koalas and Creatures Admission Ticket and Koala Photo Experience | Australia

I'm really not sure how to rate this place, as it's one of the few places where you can actually hold a koala and take photos with it. In other places, the koalas are usually just perched in a tree, and we're taking photos right next to them. But the koalas' roaming space is incredibly limited. While the zoo claims they operate within the five designated areas and that they sleep 21 hours a day, I felt really bad for them when I forced them down to take photos with me because their sleep time was up. But I also felt so adorable when I actually held one. So, I was completely conflicted.

When you think of Australia, you think of koalas. This is the only place in Cairns where you can hold a koala for just a few seconds and take a photo. As it was the Obon period, all the customers there to take photos were Japanese. Everyone was well behaved and listened carefully to the staff's explanations, enjoying themselves. Of course, we were also soothed by their warmth in just a few seconds.

The service staff is very friendly, and you can hug the koala comfortably in the air-conditioned room. The photography skills are also professional.

The best value koala hugging experience in Australia, but it is really pure koala hugging, the ticket price also includes a photo, electronic file, and it is right in the city center without having to go far to other places

My friend booked without holding the koala. But we were able to take a photo together. I held the koala and my friend touched its back. It was short, but it was good.

As others have said, even if you make a reservation at 13:00, you will be given koala photography and 30 minutes to look around the facility from 13:30. If you call out, you can go out of the facility (walk around the area). The staff were also kind.

There was also an explanatory video in Japanese, so I was able to meet up with the group with peace of mind.

I made a reservation after hearing that I could hold a koala. I was grateful for the valuable experience of not only holding one but also observing it up close.

The museum is small and there are not many animals to visit, but the location is very convenient. You can hug a koala in the city center, and the price is reasonable!
