The Pentagon is named after its pentagonal shape. As the office building of the US Department of Defense, it is also one of the largest office buildings in the world, covering an area of 6.5 million square feet, about three times the size of the Empire State Building. In 2001, a hijacked passenger plane crashed here, and the "9.11 terrorist attack" that shocked the world occurred, which is thought-provoking. During the trip, we will also go to the 911 Memorial Square. As a sad part of the city's history, coming here also reminds us to respect life, oppose war, and maintain peace!

George Washington's Mount Vernon Here lies the burial place of George Washington, the first president of the United States and the first great man in American history. After the Revolutionary War, he surrendered his military power as the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army and returned to his hometown in Vernon. After that, the whole country unanimously elected Washington as the first president in American history. Eight years later, he resigned from the presidency again and returned to his hometown, setting a precedent that the president of the United States could not be re-elected for more than two terms. In 1799, he was buried here.

U.S. Capitol As the political center of the United States, Washington has many iconic political and cultural landscapes, such as the Capitol and the U.S. Supreme Court. Congress is composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and is the highest symbol of a government owned by the people, governed by the people, and enjoyed by the people. As an important landmark building in the United States, the Capitol has accompanied the United States through a difficult and tortuous road.

The White House is a white neoclassical sandstone building covering an area of more than 73,000 square meters. It consists of the main building and the east and west wings. The White House is the office and residence of all successive US presidents and is also synonymous with the US government.

Lincoln Memorial The Lincoln Memorial is a white ancient Greek temple-style building built to commemorate the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. It is regarded as an eternal statue of the United States and a symbol of Washington. It is also the most famous rally for the pursuit of peace and democracy. Martin Luther King delivered his speech "I Have a Dream" here.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located in the north of the Lincoln Memorial. The memorial is a 500-foot-long V-shaped monument made of black granite. It is used to commemorate the American soldiers and generals who died in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The glittering black marble wall is engraved with the names of more than 57,000 American soldiers who died in the Vietnam War between 1959 and 1975, in the order of the date of each person's death.
