I saw the Milky Way, the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, and even the aurora borealis under a cloudless sky! Definitely worth it!

Good weather + good tour guide = perfect. Looking up, the Milky Way was right above us, clearly visible to the naked eye.

The guided tour was very interesting and clear, but unfortunately I got a NZ$400 fine for taking a short rest on the bus before returning to the campsite.

So happy to see the beautiful starry sky! See the most beautiful starry sky in Tekapo, and the Chinese tour guide is very in-depth, you can see the distant starry sky through the telescope.

The staff of the Dark Sky Project are very professional. They taught us how to view the beautiful night sky in New Zealand and how to identify directions in the southern hemisphere. They also taught us basic knowledge about various stars. They are familiar with the various constellations in Eastern and Western cultures. I highly recommend everyone to participate in this activity.

Great guide, gained a lot of astronomical knowledge, and was lucky to encounter a nearly 100% clear starry sky

It's similar to the experience of going to a Korean astronomical observatory, but you can see a few more stars and satellites.

The activity was cancelled due to bad weather, but no one notified me. They only told me about the cancellation after I arrived. I asked why I wasn't notified beforehand, and they said they called me but no one answered, even though I provided a Hong Kong phone number! I asked why they didn't send an email or WTSAPP, because the skydiving cancellation also involved a WTSAPP call and text message. They said the third party didn't provide them with my email address and they thought calling would be faster, even though KKday clearly required me to provide my email address! They also said that often cancellations are made 15 minutes before the activity due to weather conditions, but the activity required participants to arrive 20 minutes early, and we arrived 25 minutes early and the activity was already cancelled. The two Mandarin-speaking employees kept arguing that sending a WTSAPP was the better practice. KKday cancelled the activity but didn't give me a refund and marked it as completed. I even had to contact the Dark Sky Project base again to ask why it was marked as completed, and they said it was a KKday problem and they had sent an email to KKday to notify them. The whole process and procedure was very uncustomer-friendly.
