The interior of the train is luxurious and warm with wood accents and stained glass. The scenery from the three hour ride is like painting. The food served was heaven.

Truly an amazing ride with meal… we were super impressed by the service and entire train experience. It may be a little far from Hakata but we totally enjoyed it. The food served was unique. It was a super nice gesture to celebrate our wedding anniversary on train when the staff gave us a little surprise after finding out fr us.

This was by far the best trip I’ve had in Japan so far. The train’s style and design were absolutely beautiful, accompanied by relaxing background music that made the journey even more special. The COTOCO Train Crew were wonderful from start to finish. Japanese service is always exceptional, but the COTOCO Crew went above and beyond to ensure everyone had an unforgettable experience. The food was exquisite—both in taste and presentation—and truly worth every penny. Each stop along the route was fascinating, and the crew’s commentary about the towns and areas added an educational touch to the trip. It was more than just a train ride; it was a cultural and learning experience. It also happened to be my birthday, and the crew made it extra special by singing “Happy Birthday,” while the chef beautifully decorated our dessert plates. On a trip with my family, I mistakenly went to the last station and thought I was going to miss my train. Luckily, the train made a loop, so I could get back on. The company president was very kind and helpful, showing us around the station area while we waited – polite and fun! The food on the train was plentiful, the station scenery and souvenirs were unique, and the passersby waved to us warmly. It was a truly unforgettable train experience. Thank you!

There weren't many activities, but the train experience was quite good. The main advantage is that it can be played in multiple languages directly.

We have waited 2 hours at the train station at ikebukuro for train to JR Nogata station. The service was cancelled and no train to head there. Also received info later that the CotoCoto train service also cancelled due to land slides n no railway service. Enclosed the proof from station office for your reference.
