Kiulu River Water Rafting Day Tour from Kota Kinabalu | Sabah

We wanted to book the grade 3-4, however, they required minimum 4 pax. Therefore, we took this tour instead. It was a raining windy day which made it much more fun. Lunch was okay. Highly recommended this tour to family with small kids.

The water flow and water level were slower than expected, but the whole trip was well arranged and there was a free lunch, which felt good

we were told beforehand that the water was quite shallow, and to manage our expectations. it was our first time so no expectations at all. yes, the water was too shallow and it wasn't as roller coaster ride as I thought it'll be, but the guides and my raft mates made up for it! we stopped twice for a swim, and even got to jump off a rock. we also crossed a bridge, took photos, then were back on our way to the end point. the guides were great fun and made sure we were safe all the time. this will be a great starting place for beginners and kids! now it gives me courage to try a higher grade white water rafting experience!

Had a really fun day with my family, thanks to our friendly guide Rosrand! The rafting was very fun as well, all thanks to our great instructor 😊 He gave us ample time to try swimming in certain parts of the river as well as body rafting, which added more excitement to the relatively calm Kiulu River. All in all, highly recommended for those who are seeking some beginner-friendly fun!

Such a great experience. It was really amazing. Aside from trying white water rafting, I was also able to try jumping from a rock which I never do before because I'm afraid of heights, but the guide was so encouraging. I can't recommend Lester enough — he was the best. Eji was also good. He made sure that I was comfortable even though I was alone. I hope to do this again when I go back to Kota Kinabalu. Or maybe try Padas (who knows?) haha I super love the experience so thank youuu!!!

The intensity of the river is very gentle. If you like excitement, please choose another river. However, because it is also gentle, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. The boatman will pick fruits for you to eat, which is great.
