Day 1

07:45

Depart from Ho Chi Minh City. Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River.

Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which dated back to the late 19th century.

Head to Mekong River. Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.

Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation.

Vietnamese traditional music performance

Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.

Enjoy the scenic sights along the river

Taste tropical fruits

Have a cup of honey tea

Have lunch at local restaurant inside a farm. Break time afterwards with freedom to do explore a typical farm in Mekong Area

The journey to the location was relatively smooth, although certain areas were quite congested due to peak hour traffic. I must commend the driver for his skill in navigating through this. (Regrettably, I forgot to ask for his name.) The tour guide, Kha, is a young individual. However, I am impressed by his ability to explain, elaborate, and communicate effectively with the group (thankfully, that day we had a small group consisting of six adults, including myself). He even managed to adjust the itinerary efficiently when there was a sudden downpour at the first destination. We ultimately visited the destination we missed during our last trip once the weather allowed us to do so. I truly enjoyed this package and even learned a bit more about the Mekong River.

The pickup and drop-off for the trip were stress-free due to great communication. The tour guide was so friendly and cheerful. The other people on the tour were very kind and always arrived on time to our meeting spots. Definitely recommend this trip!

We were on this once for all journey with Alice, our guide, to experience life in villages. Riding through channels, hopping onto Unicorn & Coconut islands id quite refreshing. First time to have learned medical effects island local belief from aged wine from python & scorpian, a special sharp tool to peel off hard shell of coconut in speed for efficiently making coconut candy, among many things. Highly recommended, a must visit.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the tour! Everything ran smoothly from the punctual pickup to the attentive care provided by our tour guide, Khoa (Mr. K), and driver, Mr. S. The diverse group of guests from various countries like Singapore, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Tunisia made the experience even more enjoyable. Khoa's excellent English made the tour engaging and easy to follow. The organization and guidance throughout the day were exceptional, standing out among other tours we've taken in Saigon. The lunch was very delicious and we had lots of variety. We also had the rare opportunity to try the rare and expensive coconut that grows only in a few regions of the world and one of them is in the Mekong Delta. We would definitely recommend this tour if you want to enjoy some fun experience in HCM!
