The experience was quite unforgettable! We wore show shoes in the woods and Aran explained the characteristics of Lapland to us. After that, we drilled holes on the ice and fished on the vast glacial lake. So white and so special. We also had the delicious salmon in the little cabin around the fire (cannot skip the marshmallow part!) Thank Aran, Sara S and Jan for what a wonderful Christmas.

Participating in ice fishing this time is one of the top three worthwhile experiences during my trip to Finland. When we arrived at the meeting point at the scheduled time, the tour guide Diana M. was already waiting for us by the car. The activity included pick-up and drop-off, which was really convenient for us to travel independently without renting a car. The location of the ice fishing activity is about 20 to 30 minutes' drive from the city center. After arriving at the destination, we were allowed to rest in the hut while waiting for everyone else to arrive and we all walked to the lake together.
