This is a comprehensive round journey trip including a bus pickup from Chiayi-Train Station to Budai to catch the ferry and in similar reverse back. Nice and easy.

Buying tickets online was very easy. The only problem was that there were 3 days 2night package ticket for kids. So they have to be bought in the counter at the port. But overall easy and straightforward experience.

Even from Chiayi it takes really long to get to the harbor if you don’t have private transportation. The staff in the terminal didn’t speak English so it was a bit hard understanding them too. Apart from those a very local and interesting way of getting to Penghu :)
