Japan Fukui Day Tour from Kanazawa Station: Tojinbo, Maruoka Castle & Eiheiji

The tour guide was very attentive and tried hard to introduce the various scenic spots and history and culture, as well as the local food and souvenirs. The driver drove very steadily and also greeted the passengers attentively when getting on and off the bus. Yongping Temple - a good place to feel the inner peace in the ancient and solemn style.

This time, I participated in a one-day tour of Fukui! There were only four of us, and we were able to enjoy each spot in a very relaxed atmosphere. The guide's explanations were very detailed, and it was all in Japanese, so it was like a listening test (lol), but even so, it was a good experience. On the other hand, Tojinbo in the light rain had a great atmosphere and was very impressive. At Maruoka Castle, I was able to climb to the top of the castle tower and enjoy the best view. Eiheiji was spacious and quiet, and it was a wonderful place to calm the soul. Since I was traveling alone, I put my smartphone down and took all the photos while running (lol), but that's also a memory of the trip! I highly recommend this tour, which allows you to visit all the popular spots in one go without worrying about transportation!

We used this tour during Golden Week. We found this tour when searching for plans to go to Eiheiji Temple. All three locations were crowded due to the long weekend, but thanks to the guide's explanations during the journey, we were able to get some preliminary information about our destinations and enjoyed it very much. The roads were crowded and we were running behind schedule, but we were grateful that we arrived on schedule. It was unfortunate that we couldn't have a satisfying lunch at Tojinbo because it was crowded everywhere and there was a meeting time for the bus. The driver drove safely and the guide's explanations were fun, including a quiz. It was a very enjoyable trip. Thank you very much.

The transportation arrangements for the three famous attractions in Fukui are extremely difficult to coordinate, so it is highly recommended to visit them in a day trip as it is very comfortable. We used the Grand Tour Bus that day. There were 34 people in the group, most of whom were Japanese. There were only three groups of foreigners. The tour guide explained the specialties of various places along the way. The gathering times for each scenic spot were very clear, and there was no problem in communication. Although the weather was not good that day, strong winds blew in Dongxunfang and it was raining and a bit cold, but I still felt that this route was good. There are restaurants in Dongxunfang Commercial Street for a quick lunch. The stairs in Eiheiji Temple and Maruoka Castle are very steep, so you need to have good leg strength and do what you can. It was different from the one-day trip to Lake Kawaguchi that I reported last time (the small tour bus was very crowded with foreigners in the group). The Japanese group members gathered on time, so we returned to Kanazawa Station earlier than expected. Next time, try to find a "Japanese tour group".
