The trip was rich in content, but the ride was long and the itinerary after getting off was very rushed; the tour guide was very serious and enthusiastic, and although the language barrier did not affect it~

The transportation arrangements for the three famous attractions in Fukui are extremely difficult to coordinate, so it is highly recommended to visit them in a day trip as it is very comfortable. We used the Grand Tour Bus that day. There were 34 people in the group, most of whom were Japanese. There were only three groups of foreigners. The tour guide explained the specialties of various places along the way. The gathering times for each scenic spot were very clear, and there was no problem in communication. Although the weather was not good that day, strong winds blew in Dongxunfang and it was raining and a bit cold, but I still felt that this route was good. There are restaurants in Dongxunfang Commercial Street for a quick lunch. The stairs in Eiheiji Temple and Maruoka Castle are very steep, so you need to have good leg strength and do what you can. It was different from the one-day trip to Lake Kawaguchi that I reported last time (the small tour bus was very crowded with foreigners in the group). The Japanese group members gathered on time, so we returned to Kanazawa Station earlier than expected. Next time, try to find a "Japanese tour group".

Although they said they were provided with headphones, I saw that other foreign passengers in the same group were in trouble from the beginning to the end... If they understand Japanese, there will be no problem at all! ! Our tour leader was super interesting and his explanations were very detailed ~ The scenic spots were beautiful (unfortunately the weather was bad that day and there was a strong storm on the beach). The castle tower is small but has the steepest stairs, which you must experience! Eiheiji Temple is super big, quiet, and beautiful! Finally, I returned to Kanazawa Station on time. It was a very satisfying day!

My wife and I were the only ones on the trip who were Taiwanese. The tour guide was very kind and lovely, and she explained the whole process responsibly. The transportation methods of these three scenic spots are not very convenient, so it is not easy to visit them in one day. Dongxunfang has a unique terrain and is worth visiting. Maruoka Castle and Eiheiji Temple are much inferior in comparison. In short, if you want to do an in-depth tour of Fukui Prefecture, this itinerary is highly recommended.

We gathered at the east exit of Kanazawa Station and set off. Most of the people on the bus were Japanese and there were a few foreigners. The driver on the bus explained all the way. There is a Chinese, English and Korean introduction machine that can be used, but there is no sound when using it. Go to Tojinbo first. If you want It is recommended to buy a ticket when you arrive by boat (at your own expense). You can stop by for lunch at Tojinbo. The scenery of Tojinbo is nice and it is fun to watch the eagles circling in search of prey. The second stop is Maruoka Castle. You need to wait for the driver to buy the ticket. Free time again. The Maruoka Castle Castle is very sloping. It was built in 1576. There are local products at the entrance (you can buy rice and tea bags). The third stop was Eiheiji Temple. The driver gave out an introduction booklet ( It looks like a ticket to worship inside), but I didn’t know that I spent 700 yen to visit and get the same introduction booklet🥹The scenery of Eiheiji Temple is very beautiful, and it should be more pleasant during the maple viewing season.

It’s so convenient. You can easily go to Dongxunfang and wait for sightseeing spots that are not easily accessible.

The tourist location is quite good, but it’s a pity that I’m in a hurry and can’t take a leisurely tour to experience more of the local customs! The driver and the girl who accompanied the car were very friendly and polite. They introduced the customs and folk customs during the ride. Unfortunately, there was no real-time translation in foreign languages, so I couldn't experience the car tour...
