It was a once in a lifetime experience and opportunity. It was me, my husband and our two younger children ages: 17 and 14. The staff were very nice, skilled and patient

A great experience which was quite unique and lots of fun for my wife and I on our 40th Wedding Anniversary Holiday. The Elephants were well looked after and seemed to enjoy the time as much as we did. It is great fun to watch others enjoying the experience as well. I would recommended getting the photographer as well to take shots of your time with the elephants.

If you make a reservation, you can use it without waiting. There is a simple changing area and shower, but it seems like not many people use it. We went there in our swimsuits and went back to the hotel. It's the best if you give the banana to the photographer. They take a photo of you giving the banana. They put one of the photos in a photo frame. They take photos for 20 minutes. Be prepared as the girls will splash water on your face. It was pretty intense lol

I happened to have little cash on me so I couldn't get a photo taken, but it's definitely a good idea to have a photo taken. You can do it yourself, but if possible, have someone take a photo for you.

It was a lot of fun! You'll get splashed with more water than you'd expect, so be prepared!

We used Grab to get there and back. It cost about 200 baht one way from our hotel in Patong. We paid 500 baht for the photo and 100 baht for the elephant banana at the reception. After descending a fairly steep path, we came to a photo spot. Further down was the reception, along with a simple shower and changing area. We then went down the stairs to the beach. There was one other group ahead of us. There wasn't much of a wait, so we were able to experience it right away. Riding directly onto the elephant's back was quite impressive. It wasn't very stable, and the kids were a bit scared, so we almost fell off. The mahouts and photographers did a great job of supporting us, but we ended up taking photos on the ground. The adults rode and took several poses. We were a family of three, and they took lots of photos of us individually and as a family. They also encouraged us to pose, so we were able to take lots of great photos smoothly. After the experience, they offered free drinks. While I showered and changed, they uploaded some photos to my phone. (You can print one of the photos later if you're worried.) You can print out any photo you like and place it in a photo stand. If you want more, you can request more for 200 baht each. Since it was an experience in the ocean, I assumed I would get wet so I wore a swimsuit, but I think regular clothes would have been fine since you get wet from the elephant's trunk shower (as long as it doesn't fall off). Further up the road from the reception, there were several places where you could eat and take photos with the elephants. If you're strong enough to climb the hill, it would be fun to stop by on your way back.

Before the experience, I thought 20 minutes was too short, but it was just right! I had a unique experience, riding on the elephant's trunk and splashing around in the water. I was happy with the photographer, who also transferred all the photos (over 150) to my phone, and took videos and photos on my own phone.

The youngest was in the third grade of elementary school, and the oldest was a freshman in college, but all three of my children seemed to enjoy themselves. Getting to climb on the statue was a particularly valuable experience, and we took lots of photos.
