Visit Clan jetty, a small floating village filled with souvenir shops and food stores

Kuan Yin, Penang's oldest temple, was built in 1728 by early immigrant settlers from China. This temple is one of the most magnificent Chinese-style structures in northern Malaysia with spectacular wall paintings

Head to Masjid Kapitan Keling to see a 200-year-old masjid. Apart from mosque, there are cultural centers here that showcase the culture and history of Indian Muslim Community. The food outside this masjid is simply divine, so don't miss out!

Head out to Sri Maha Mariamman, a beautiful Hindu temple that's the oldest in Penang. This is a typical south Indian style temple covered with carvings of gods and goddesses which are colorfully painted

Proceed to Pinang Peranakan Mansion. Get ready to know and experience what it feels like being the richest Malaysian way back then. The mansion is full of old world charms and collections. Strike your best pose for the photos, and don't forget to pass by the gift shop on the way out!

Your next walk will be to St. George Church. A lovely sea breeze wafts through the church would keep you cool. Old photos including one when the church was bombed is placed in one tiny heritage house right next to the church

Head to Penang Museum, where you'll learn all about the different peoples who came to Penang and still live there. There are also interesting artifacts from each culture and some insight into the time of the British Empire and World War II

Next is Fort Cornwallis, an example of British Colonial architecture of the period. It is near the seaside and has some good views and sunset scene reyif you visit here late in the evening

Mr. Zeng arrived at the hotel entrance on time to pick us up. His car was new, clean, spacious, and comfortable. As we drove, he introduced us to Penang's history and different buildings, and also gave a detailed explanation of the local customs and culture. Since he was not much older than my parents, we got along very well. If you are traveling to Penang with your family, this tour is worth joining.
