07:00

Depart Sydney and travel across the Sydney Harbour Bridge for a scenic drive along the spectacular NSW Central Coast. Short comfort stop en route

10:30

Arrive on the traditional lands of the Worimi people in the tranquil coastal village of Nelson Bay. Depart on 90-minute Dolphin Discovery Cruise with Moonshadow Cruises on the turquoise blue waters of Port Stephens, a veritable marine wonderland. This extraordinary natural harbour is home to some 140 bottle nose dolphins who will entrance you by their playful and intelligent nature as they frolic around the boat or surf the bow waves. Be mindful to also look out for other wildlife including pelicans, sea eagles, the occasional seal and of course humpback whales during the winter months

12:15

Enjoy a delicious Aussie lunch in a beautiful natural setting! Vegetarian options are available to suit all preferences

13:00

Depart Nelson Bay and travel to the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary which supports the long-term rehabilitation, preservation and conservation of koalas in the wild. This $ 10 million project has been jointly funded by the NSW State Government and the Port Stephens council to provide care for sick, injured or orphaned Koalas with the aim of releasing them back into the wild. Brighton Tours proudly supports the conservation and preservation efforts of the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary having adopted several wild koalas in their care. Our visit here today will make a direct contribution to the preservation of wild Koalas in Port Stephens.

Depart the Koala Sanctuary for the sand dunes and a 4WD adventure

14:15

Our final stop is at the world-renowned Stockton sand dunes, a coastal desert that is 32km long and the largest mobile sand dune system in the southern hemisphere. Meet your friendly drivers from Port Stephens 4WD Tours, and board a 19-seater 4WD red bus for the 2km drive to “The Dunes”. Now it’s time for Adventure as you sand board down the huge sand dunes that make up this idyllic setting

Accurate itinerary as described with no disappointment. First stop was dolphin watching on a cruise in Nelson Bay, followed by a visit to Koala Sanctuary with complementary lunch. Last stop was sand boarding in a sand dune in Anna Bay before heading back to Sydney. Dolphin watching is based on luck as explained by the captain thus it is possible that no dolphin could be seen but it only happens once in a blue moon. I guess winery visit is no longer available and is replaced by Koala Sanctuary so do not anticipate any wine tasting. Sand boarding was the highlight of the day but four rides would exhaust you completely. Overall I highly recommend the trip to everyone, it’s worth it with no doubt.

The whole experience is awesome, and time allocated for each stop/rest is sufficient. Except for wineyard stop, we expecting that we can visit and have guided tour at the wineyard production, but it is just only wine tasting and purchasing.

Especially the driver cum guide, Alan. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He is one of the best tour guide we've ever come across. The tour to Port Stephens was truly a great experience and we're really grateful to Alan for his help and company during the trip. We had great fun thanks to Alan. We'll definitely recommend friends who are going to Sydney to join this tour.

It was a great trip and conveniently, our tour guide was from Hong Kong which we were too. So we bonded super quickly over that. I was with a group of 3 other middle school classmates and we decided to do this tour. It was hassle free and helped us get to where we wanted to go without the need for us to personally plan and book anything else. We were super lucky to see the dolphins right off the bat.

Didn't expect to see so many dolphins. Sandblasting at sand dune was fun. Wine tasting at last was on point.

I think the harbor is beautiful, it's a pity that we only saw dolphins this time. Lunch was fish and chips which was not bad but just average. The tour guide was great and we didn't feel rushed during the whole trip. Sandboarding was also fun!

The driver and tour guide is Chen, who is very kind and serious. The itinerary is also very satisfactory. Only the food on the dolphin boat is a bit ordinary. Sandboarding is more fun than expected! We also saw dolphins! A very happy trip~

This time I traveled alone, and the itinerary and time arrangement were very smooth. The tour guide Yan (Ren) shared the attractions and introductions along the way, which was great. He also took the initiative to help take photos as souvenirs🥺, so that a person traveling alone can not only have scenery photos, but also more memories of the traveler! Thank you🙏 It makes me want to participate next time☺️
