We booked this in error thinking it was the Kecak at Uluwartu Temple, and we are so pleased we made this mistake. The venue was picturesque just off Melasti beach (there's a 35k toll to access the Melasti area). The venue and area is really nice so worth arriving early to check out the views. The dance started at sunset and the setting was perfect, the amphitheatre was busy, but not too packed and we had plenty of room in our seats. The performance was spectacular, and greatly exceeded my expectations. At the end of the show there was an opportunity to take pictures with the performers. Overall a great experience and fortunate mistake 🤣 P.S, we found it difficult to get a Grab back to Uluwartu after the show. Fortunately we were able to negotiate the same fare with a Taxi (135k)..

The ticket exchange counter is at the entrance of the venue, just like the ticket purchase counter. It is recommended to arrive 30-40 minutes in advance.

I heard it's usually done in Uluwatu, but I saw it at Melasti Beach on a recommendation. Melasti Beach itself is so clean and beautiful, I spent some time sitting at the beach club. You can exchange your QR code at the ticket booth for a wristband ticket, and you can sit and watch freely. I had a great time with my parents, enjoying the beautiful sunset. The parking lot was close, so it was easy to get out. Since we were returning to Sanur, the route was convenient. Highly recommended :D

A friend recommended I come to see the Kecak Dance. While the Kecak in Uluwatu is famous, I thought this one might be better considering the traffic jams on the way back! The Kecak Dance was great, and while the return journey was crowded, it was smooth, so I'm glad I chose this one. The sunset was only slightly visible at an angle, but the weather was perfect, and with the ocean as a backdrop, it was a fun dance, even though I didn't understand the language. Tickets can be purchased locally, but they're a little cheaper than in the local area, and they easily exchanged the voucher for a wristband, which was very convenient.

It's a little cheaper to buy here than on-site, and the key point is that there are no monkeys here. It's a show worth seeing once in a lifetime, with a sea view and sunset.

I had seen it once before, but I was thrilled to see it again. The show is set in a spectacular setting, so the atmosphere is different before and after sunset, and it was a lot of fun. After the show, they also let you take photos. If you arrive 30 minutes before the show, you'll likely be seated towards the back, so if you want a good seat, I recommend arriving an hour before. The show itself lasts just under an hour.

Melasti beach is very clean and beautiful. It was my first time to enjoy the Kecak dance at the beach. I thought it was very interesting, romantic and the dance was beautiful. The dusk sky at the coast, accompanied by the sound of waves and the Kecak, cak, cak dance sounds were particularly charming.

I saw the Kecak Dance in Uluwatu three times, so I went to Melasti Beach. It was very convenient and easy to use, as I just had to purchase the number of tickets I needed in advance from the app, receive a voucher, and show it at the reception. By purchasing tickets in advance, I was able to secure a seat for the day's performance, so I was relieved that I could just arrive on time on the day. The Kecak Dance was very interesting, with a different performance from Uluwatu. I recommend you to compare both.

We chose the dance at Melasti Beach because it was less crowded than Uluwatu and we had to take the time to get back to Kuta. We were able to sit comfortably. It was like a hero show, but the Kecak performance by about 100 performers was very impressive. We couldn't see the sunset because of the direction of the beach, but the beautiful ocean was right in front of us and the sea breeze was pleasant.

I had heard that Kecha was crowded, but this place was a hidden gem and it was empty, so that was good. However, it seems that there are no taxis in this area, so you need to think about how to get back.
