Day Tour Bai Dinh - Trang An ( From Hanoi)

We booked this last minute, Wednesday night for a Friday trip. We were picked up on the nearest area of our accommodation, free bottled water on the bus plus a buffet lunch. Worth it! Our trip is suppose to be just Bai Dinh Pagoda and Trang An. However on the day itself they told us that we will have a bonus stop in Nin Binh city. There we saw the unicorn mountain were you have an option to climb and a mini pagoda and floating lotus flower. Overall we enjoy the day tour. Our tour guide is great and so are the people of Vietnam. Will definitely come back for more.

A great day trip from Hanoi. Trang An is beautiful. The boat ride was serene and relaxing. Easy booking & great communication by booking staff Alison. Our tour leader Lee is informative and friendly too.

Our guide was friendly and informative. Bai Dinh was impressive, and the nearly 2-hour bamboo boat ride in Trang An was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Transportation was comfortable, and lunch was better than expected.

Great natural and cultural itinerary, Lulong Bay is really beautiful! The tour guide is also very professional.

There were several similar tours, but I decided on this one because it clearly stated that it included lunch of goat dishes, a specialty of Ninh Binh Province. There were several advance confirmations, and the pick-up was smooth. Due to local circumstances, we decided to visit the caves first and then visit the temple later to avoid crowding, but in the end it was good in terms of allocating our physical strength. At the temple, an additional 100,000 VND was charged for the electric car, but this was only for the section from the midpoint to the main hall, and was optional. Rather, this was the highlight, and we were able to worship various Arhat statues while walking. The electric car from the parking lot to the midpoint was free (or included). Although the goat dish we were looking forward to was a little tough, the seasoning was light, there were few spices, and it was not battered, so it was very delicious. It seems to go better with white rice than fried rice. It would have been even better if there had been kimchi as a side dish. We enjoyed the scenery along the way, and we were able to see a stall selling whole roasted goat. Overall, it was perfect.

Even though it was a crowded holiday, I had a great time. I recommend it. Jjang An is so pretty. If you go to Hanoi, visit it.
