For travelers planning to hike the Five Lakes, visit Glacier Paradise, or Mount Gornergrat during their Zermatt trip, this ticket is recommended. The boarding points for the three routes are different in Zermatt. The advantage is that you can swipe your card and hop on the bus as soon as it arrives, avoiding the need to buy single tickets at each stop. You can get off at any stop to take photos without worrying about limited rides. However, be aware of the final departure times for each route depending on the season to avoid missing the last bus down the mountain. There's also a fast cable car station between Gornergrat and Glacier Paradise that allows transfers, saving time going up and down the mountain. However, this route seems to be seasonal; check with staff when exchanging your ticket to see if it's still operating. Remember to bring a 5-dollar deposit to exchange for a card. Return the deposit at the cable car counter or the customer service center near Zermatt train station to get your money back.

Buying a pass can really save you a lot of money, and you can take any bus without worrying about getting on the wrong one. This happened again this time, but because I bought a pass, I was able to immediately take the next bus to my destination.
