National Taiwan Museum-Railway Department Park: General Admission Ticket | Taipei, Taiwan

It's a pleasant sight on a rainy or hot day. The location is convenient and I recommend it.

It was the time when the rainy season was about to begin in Taipei, and I was caught in the rain and wondering what to do, but this turned out to be a great destination. Not only were the exhibits and facilities well-stocked, but the souvenir shops were also well-stocked.

I could apply for it on the spot and use it immediately, so it was convenient and there was no risk.

A good place for family leisure activities, couples to relax and go on a date, or for a solo walk

The railway model dynamic exhibition is quite nice, and a lot of railway information is preserved in the museum. The Railway Museum itself is also a historical site. There is also a guided tour on the day, and the explanation is very detailed and worth it!

The buildings are beautiful and diverse, with children's playgrounds and dynamic performances of small trains. It is very suitable for people of all ages to visit, and there are many historical nostalgic elements

It is very convenient to buy tickets in advance, and I will want to go to some good places later.

A family-friendly and educational place. The kids had a great time there and kept saying they wanted to come back to the train museum.

The National Taiwan Museum's annex "Railway Department Park" is located right next to Taipei Station. To be honest, the benefits (discount rate) of using kkday are not that high considering the exchange rate at the time of my visit, but I didn't want to pay cash on site, so I purchased it in advance (although I may have been able to use credit card at the counter). I was able to find it smoothly just by showing the QR code of the voucher at the counter. There are plenty of things to see, such as the Japanese era building, the history of the Taiwan Railway, and the facilities. As of the end of March 2025, some parts of the building were under restoration, so I would like to visit again.

This is a museum that is worth visiting with the whole family. The only drawback is that it does not sell railway bento.
