Day 1

11:00

Enjoy a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu

11:30

Gather at the basecamp for everyone, including self-driven guests

11:45

Once everyone arrives at the basecamp, freshen up, and sit down for a delicious lunch buffet

12:30

Proceed to start Point. Safety briefing will be conducted by our expert river guide before starts to enter the water.

12:50

Your white water rafting begins! The excursion will take about 2 hours to the ending point, depending on the speed and number of stops

15:00

Arrive at the ending point, freshen up, Change and be ready to depart to the next station

15:30

Proceed to Arubay Firefly Jetty for another excitement of firefly tour

16:30

Arrival at the Firefly basecamp. High tea served with coffee/tea and Local Snack Pisang Goreng (fried banana). Free time while waiting for another group to arrive.

17:10

Mangrove Cruising starts. Explore the wide mangrove river and get to know more knowledge and fun facts about mangrove living in Malaysia.

17:45

Proceed to the beach to watch the sunset

18:50

Enter another mangrove area to watch the fireflies

19:30

Firefly session finishes, proceed back to the jetty for dinner

20:30

Proceed back to Kota Kinabalu after dinner.

21:30

ETA Kota Kinabalu.

Our guide, Arie, made such an effort to ensure we had a memorable and comfortable experience. We felt safe throughout the rafting experience and the tour on the bay was magical (thanks to the weather). We also learned a lot about the culture and history in Kota Kinabalu through Arie. The overall team was professional and accommodating. Food was great too if you do the whole-day trip!

great rafting experience for first timer. our rafting guide is very experienced. we stop halfway for fish feeding @ RM15 per pax. my girl enjoyed very much. we missed the goreng pisang because we were late and other group were waiting. we also missed the sunset due to rain. fortunately the rain stop at around 7pm and we were able to see the fireflies. overall is a very good experience and great memory for us.

The agent is very responsive to provide pickup detail; the white water rafting was enjoyable and the Guide handled the raft very well; Boat out to view monkey at mangrove, sunset and firefly were enjoyable. The Guide was knowledgeable on these activities.

The coach will let us experience jumping into the river at the right time and let us know how to save ourselves if we really fall into the water and how to get back on the boat. Participated in Class I rafting + mangrove river cruise + firefly cruise. Class I rafting: Very simple, will not drop in the water, but rafting on the river, enjoy the woods all around. If you want a little stimulation, you can choose level II. But I prefer to be a little more relaxed. Then after changing clothes, then to the Mangrove River Base Camp, there are small snacks provided. Mangrove River Cruise: Enjoy the monkeys and the sunset. Unfortunately, it was raining, I didn't see the sunset, but there was a super amazing sea view, the tour guide would help take pictures. I think the sunny day will be beautiful. Firefly Cruise: Visit herring and fireflies and your guide will look for their traces. The tour guide was very friendly and professional. Leading the whole process very smoothly, the drawback was the rainy day.
