This is not the first time I have used this method to travel to Guangzhou. I can get on the bus near my home. After passing the border at Shenzhen Bay, I transfer to the bus bound for Guangzhou. The arrangement went smoothly. In fact, I entered Guangzhou not long after. It takes more than half an hour to get off the bus at Haizhu Plaza. This distance is short but the journey is long. It doesn’t seem worth it. It would be much faster if you get off at Zhengjia Plaza. On the return trip, we will be in Shenzhen Bay with customers returning to Hong Kong from other points. When taking a bus home, there are no buses and the bus is always full. I have to wait for more than 20 minutes as soon as I get off the bus. This wait may be longer than when I go home by car. Whether it is convenient is a matter of opinion.

It was my first time to return to Shenzhen Bay via the Shenzhen-Zhong Passage at night. I arrived at Shenzhen Bay an hour and a half after leaving Tianhe District in Guangzhou and taking the highway. It was faster than expected. It can be bought and used on weekdays, but on holidays, Friday and Saturday, the last reservation is made in advance.

Although the ride time is longer than the through train, there are many choices and convenient pick-up and drop-off points. You can choose Tianhe District or Yuexiu District as the drop-off location, and you can reach multiple attractions without changing trains. In the past, I took a through train, which took a short time, but was relatively expensive. It was difficult to take a break with people coming and going in the train, and I had to transfer to the subway or bus afterwards. For example, getting off in Yuexiu District is close to Yuexiu Park and many large shopping malls. Get off the Tianhe District and you will find a large shopping mall. It is very convenient to buy food and play, and is very suitable for young people. This time I took the direct bus and returned from the trip with a full load without any trouble.
