Despite the bad rainy and gloomy weather, our guide Kevin tried his best to make the journey as smooth as possible for us. 3 of our family members missed the original flight and could not make it to the hotel as scheduled. Kevin offered to pick us up at the hotel and then at the airport without extra charge. He was considerate throughout the journey. He acknowledged that we have an elderly and a child in the group. He made sure the parking spot was as close as possible. He was courteous and opened the door for us every time. His instructions were clear and ensured us adhering to the schedule. After full day of driving, he ended our tour with a big smile. Not to mention that U-turn he made in the busy street under heavy rain just to drop us right in front of the hotel. It was truly thoughtful! We are grateful to have Kevin as our tour guide. We will recommend him to anyone!

The driver picked us up on time and the itinerary was very interesting. We arrived at the Glowworm Cave earlier than scheduled. The driver coordinated with the on-site staff to allow us to enter early and also helped us explain in Chinese. It was a worthwhile trip 👍🏻

A big thank you to our tour guide, Kevin, for being so thoughtful and reminding us of the meeting point and time the day before. The Blue Light Glowworm Caves were truly spectacular, especially after the boat ride. The sky was filled with glowing fireflies, like a starlit sky, and the Hobbit Village was also incredibly interesting. Kevin provided detailed explanations of the filming details and behind-the-scenes footage of The Lord of the Rings, and provided ample time for photos. It's definitely worth a visit!

The grass is beautiful, and I am back to the movie scene. I imagine the space where the characters in the movie live. If I go back in time, I wonder what it would feel like.

The driver picked up and dropped me off easily without having to look for a car. Although it was raining heavily, it did not affect the mood of the journey. The firefly cave was worth the price and it was really beautiful inside.

The Hobbit Village, fused with memories, came alive before my eyes, as if I were in a Lord of the Rings film. The hobbit hut, especially the one that finally opened, was meticulously decorated, making it feel as if hobbits were truly living there. The glowworm cave reminded me of the Zhang Qiling TV series: quiet and eerie, it felt like I was always ready to leap into the water and escape. The "bead curtain" hanging overhead was a silent trap for firefly larvae; I later learned that the adult fireflies couldn't eat, and their sole purpose was reproduction.

Although the price is not very favorable, the tickets for the two attractions do account for nearly half of the trip cost. It is very convenient to have a dedicated person to pick you up and drop you off on a day trip. For friends who want to travel to farther places, the KK day trip is quite suitable.

As a fan of the Lord of the Rings, I have always wanted to visit Hobbiton, where the Hobbits live in the movie, in the North Island of New Zealand. Today, my wish finally came true... Today, I participated in KKDAY's Hobbiton + Waitomo one-day tour. Due to the long round-trip distance (more than 300 kilometers), we had to gather and set off at 6:20 in the morning. When I got on the bus, I realized that there were only two of us in this group, so it was basically a chartered tour, haha... When I arrived at Hobbiton, the scenery in front of me was really beautiful. In winter, there were still green fields, cattle and sheep all over the mountains, and 44 exquisite and small caves built along the mountain, which was amazing. In addition, the Chinese tour guide kept narrating every movie scene, as if recreating the scene where Frodo, the protagonist of the Lord of the Rings, first met Gandalf, which made people nostalgic! Then I entered the hobbit's cave scene to take pictures. Various beautiful miniature living homes made people unable to help but take a lot of pictures, which was a special kind of fun! Finally, we entered the Green Dragon Tavern and enjoyed a beer or ginger ale, ending the one and a half hour fantasy journey in Hobbiton. I was so excited that I finally experienced the scene in the Lord of the Rings movie and satisfied my personal wish... At noon time, we were asked to find food in the town of Ōtorohanga by ourselves. We unexpectedly found a cheap and delicious pizza restaurant. After another 20-minute drive, we arrived at Waitomo GLowworm caves. After getting the ticket and walking into the entrance of the park, there was a photographer responsible for taking pictures. In order to protect the ecology inside, no photography is allowed inside! This time we were scheduled for the 2:00 session, and a Maori girl was responsible for the English explanation, leading us into the cave. What came into view were all kinds of strange-shaped stalactite caves. I have been to Guilin, and it felt like I was back in Guilin in a second. Then the tour guide took us close to the dark limestone to see fireflies (different from the Taiwanese species, the larvae emit light in the larval stage to attract other flying insects as food). After the larvae hatch, they will build nests and hang down silk threads to prey (like spider silk, the silk threads hang down like ice crystals). Finally, we took a boat in the underground cave. In the pitch-black cave, the staff slowly and laboriously pulled the rope to make the boat move forward. From time to time, there were drops of water 💧 dripping down. At this time, we just need to look up to see countless blue dots, like shining stars. It's so beautiful and dreamy! (This trip is shorter, about 45 minutes) Before 3:00, today's trip ended successfully. The team leader also took us back to the hotel to rest. It turned out to be New Zealand's getting off work time, and we were stuck on the highway for a long time. Thank you team leader Kevin for his hard work today. Let's give him a 👍👍👍!

The Hobbit Village is beautiful! The tour guide is also great, very nice! There are only 8 of us in the car, and it is very comfortable to sit
