Chiang Mai Day Tour: Pha Chor Canyon, Ob Khan National Park & Elefin Farm Cafe | Thailand

The destinations are nice and worth to go. people that less exercise like me also can climb up as it's a very short distance. the driver, Mr Duck is a young and nice guy, soft spoken and offer himself to climb up to Pa Chor and take photos for us . Car is also very comfortable. However, the pick up time is not as mentioned in the itinerary, 7.30am - 8am and we keep waiting until 8.10am and I decided to make a call to the tour agency. Thereafter ,they told me is 8am - 8.30am and give me the car plate number. I believe this kind of service should be improved as customer is expected to received all this information at least a day before the tour.

The scenery at Pachaw Valley was even more spectacular than I imagined, and the blue sky made for some amazing photos. It's a shame that the bridge at Op Khan National Park was destroyed in a storm. It's a lot of walking. The Elephant Cafe was a fantastic experience, with beautiful views, a delicious lunch, and adorable elephants. I hesitated a lot about riding the elephant, but it's definitely something you should do. It was fantastic. Since there were five of us, we had requested a car that was just big enough to fit everyone, but we were able to spend the day in a spacious Hiace, which I'm very grateful for. The driver was also a skilled driver, and we had no worries whatsoever and were very comfortable.

I most want to go to the canyon; the other two spots are up to everyone else. The itinerary is relaxed and suitable for taking elders on a trip.

Because Op Khan Park was close to flooding, the driver suggested many alternative destinations, including temples and cafes. We were sightseeing too quickly and ended up with a little extra time, but our driver was very kind and continued to consider our travel options until the time was up. The driver spoke English, so we were able to communicate in simple English. At Elephants Farm Cafe, you can feed the elephants for 100 baht and experience elephant riding for around 1,000 baht. Pha Cho Valley is impressive and definitely worth a visit. The 800m round trip (with stairs) was a bit tough, though. Overall, it was a very satisfying tour.

It was great to meet the driver Pifa who could speak Chinese. In the beautiful canyon, we met enthusiastic staff who helped us take beautiful photos. This trip was easy and leisurely, and it is highly recommended.

The canyon scenery is really amazing, and it is highly recommended to experience it once. The sun was very strong and hot when we went to the canyon and national park, which was a drawback. There was no place to shade from the sun.

1. The driver arrived at the hotel on time at 8:30 to pick us up. The car model was also very good, and the back seat could be charged. 2. The driver has good basic English skills. You can tell him the order of the attractions and the itinerary and any needs you may have. Our mediocre English is enough for a basic conversation. I was carsick and vomiting all the way, so the driver urgently looked for a gas station rest area or a roadside stop in the mountains for me to rest. 3. Pha chor Canyon is far away and the road is winding, even friends who don’t get carsick felt uncomfortable. But I personally think the attraction is worth it. There are not many tourists, so the photos of the attraction are beautiful. The tourists also give each other enough space and take turns to stand on the platform to take photos. 4. Obukhan National Park also has very few tourists, but you must wear comfortable walking shoes because it is difficult to climb and easy to fall. The riverside and the riverside are very beautiful. But due to personal reasons, I kept falling, so I was afraid of the river nearby and didn’t stay for long. 5. For lunch, there were no restaurants in the mountains on the way, so we didn’t arrive at the Elephant Cafe until 2 pm. At the Elephant Cafe, we could buy bananas to feed the elephants and take photos. We had 2 hours to rest, eat and take photos here. It is also a very suitable place for families.

1. At the scenic spots, you can experience different nature itineraries, appreciate the miraculous craftsmanship, and also take a walk to relax. (Be sure to wear walking shoes.) 2. It’s quite special that you can feed elephants in the elephant cafe!

All three places are worth visiting!

You can form a group by chartering a car for 2 people. It’s about an hour’s drive from the city and it’s not very far. There are not many people there on weekdays.
