Nagasaki opened its port to the public along with Yokohama, Kobe, Hakodate, and Niigata. The Nagasaki Foreign Settlement was established there. Glover Garden continues to record history there. Three nationally designated important cultural properties, including the mansion of Scottish merchant Thomas Blake Glover, as well as precious traditional buildings scattered throughout Nagasaki city have been relocated and restored here. From within the garden, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Inasa and Nagasaki Port, and you can enjoy a stroll through the garden surrounded by flowers and greenery. There are also many other things to enjoy, such as the Retro Costume Museum, where you can rent retro dresses, and the Jiyutei Café, where you can enjoy coffee and desserts in a Western-style building.
