The thick snow created a fairytale-like, dreamlike scene. Using the voucher was very convenient; you could simply exchange it for tickets at the counter.

The redemption process wasn't very convenient; the staff weren't entirely clear on it because I had purchased a round-trip ticket and shopping vouchers, which they were unaware of.

If you're traveling from Takayama to Hirayu and Shin-Hotaka, I recommend buying a two-day pass. It's cheaper than a company ticket and allows unlimited rides on the Nohi Bus between Takayama and Hirayu/Shin-Hotaka within two days. Plus, when you get off, you simply show the driver a designated screen on your phone – very convenient!

It's great! I highly recommend it. Transportation is convenient, the controls are easy to follow, and the routes are simple with Chinese characters, so even those who don't understand Japanese can easily read them. I suggest you come and visit!

Highly recommended! With a package ticket, you can directly queue to board the cable car in Takayama. Simply show the electronic screen to the driver for confirmation when boarding and alighting. Upon arrival at the Shin-Hotaka Ropeway, exchange your ticket for a cable car pass at the boarding area.

This is my first time using an e-ticket; previously, you needed to exchange it for a physical ticket. Since e-tickets are now used, you'll need a mobile phone with internet access to show the information to the bus driver. Buses are for local use, so seats cannot be assigned in advance; it's best to queue early.

The weather was perfect, and it wasn't crowded at all. It's a place definitely worth visiting; you should definitely add it to your itinerary if you have the time.
