千歲鮭魚故鄉館位於千歲川河畔車站附近，是日本大的淡水魚水族館。這裏主要飼養並展示着以鮭魚類為中心的60種北方淡水魚，遊客可在此瞭解鮭魚及北方圈淡水魚的生態知識。故鄉館分為地下一樓和地上二樓，有放映室、資料館，及各式水槽。你可以從館中大大小小的水槽或大型電視牆近距離觀賞鮭魚，也可從水中觀察室直接觀察千歲川中的魚類活動。
