From May 1 to December 31, visit Takeo Library & Takeo Shrine (total duration about 60 minutes, no visit to the strawberry farm).

From January 7 to April 30, visit POO Strawberry Farm to experience strawberry picking (about 60 minutes, cost not included, starting from 2,500 JPY; no visit to Takeo Library & Takeo Shrine).

Yanagawa Rowing Experience (total duration is about 120 minutes, please pay for the boat ride and lunch at your own expense)

During the cherry blossom season, the cherry blossoms on the shore are beautiful. (Depending on the length of the boating and the operator, the cost varies from 1,000 to 2,000 yen per person.)

Recommended during free time: Yanagawa Banzhu Tachibana's villa, Ohana. Admission fee is at your own expense: 700 yen for adults, 400 yen for high school students, and 300 yen for elementary/middle school students.

Recommended lunch: Yanagawa's popular eel rice. Recommended: Yuanzujijiya or Wakamatsuya

The tour leader was Cico. She was bilingual and professional. She explained the itineraries clearly so nobody was late and the tour ran smoothly. Strawberry picking was the main thing of the day and all of us had a hearty portion. The kanagawa river cruise was surprisingly serene and beautiful for a small town. We enjoyed the tour entirely.

Picking strawberries at the strawberry farm in Yame City. As it was the end of the season, there were not many large strawberries, but we still had a great time eating them. Yanagawa did not eat the eel rice recommended by the tour guide, but went to Dazaifu to eat Ichiran Ramen. Although the trip was a bit rushed, it ended successfully.

It's so fun to pick strawberries and eat strawberries as you like! Yanagawa's boat ride is very interesting, some have to lower their heads, sometimes have to sleep as flat as possible on the boat ... because there is a short bridge 🤣; and a beautiful boatman singing, fun boat experience! The lottery party was full of tourists. There were many things to eat and buy along the way! Tour guide Wendy is fluent in multiple languages and takes care of tourists from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Denmark. Have fun!
