Amazing Journey. It is absolutely worthy!

It’s the most fun I’ve had in my Fukuoka trip. At 10 USD per person, I would have paid double than that and I’d be as happy. The boat man was friendly, funny and just a ball of joy. The overall ride was serene but also had a bit of adventure especially when you need to duck from the many bridges surrounding the area. If you’re thinking whether you’ll do this or not, let me save you some time, DO IT!!!

Arrived to Yanagawa by public transport, difficult to understand bus system from train station to hotel for cruise. Walk was a bit far in the sun but limited with options. lovely area and quite surrounds. Ken was our boat guide.

40 minutes is just the right length of time for children and they won’t get impatient. The boatman is young, enthusiastic and energetic. The atmosphere is very good. I highly recommend buying this trip.

The Hakushu boatman received us on time in the lobby of Kamenoi Hotel. The boat boarding location was next to the river behind the hotel. At the beginning, there were a lot of leaves and impurities on the river surface. The elders' first impression was that the water quality was not good and suggested that the Yanagawa City Government could consider cleaning it. After the middle of the cruise, the water area became much cleaner, the weather was sunny and the atmosphere was leisurely and quiet. The boatman explained carefully in Japanese. Unfortunately, my Japanese is not good enough, but I can still feel the boatman's professional attitude. He also sang 4 popular songs. On the return trip, we were able to check into the hotel immediately, which was very convenient. The elders were all very satisfied with the special experience of this cruise.

It was a good experience. The boatman explained the stories of certain places in Japanese, but unfortunately we couldn't understand the Japanese explanation (the boatman knew simple Chinese words). The boatman also sang loudly on the way, which was very Japanese style. The experience lasts about 30-40 minutes, which is just not too long. There aren't many people on our boat (only 5), and there's still plenty of room to sit, so make sure to make an appointment to experience it.

I was worried because I made the reservation the day before, but I was relieved when the reservation was completed the next morning. It was my first time going down the river and it was fun.

Parking in the hotel parking lot is large enough and easy to find the address. The service staff is very friendly. The brother who drives the boat is very handsome and sings very well. The elders and children all have a lot of fun
