You need to exchange the ticket in the counter. So better arrive at least 40 mins earlier. During peak season, may be a lot of people queuing up.

Just good enough in timing and relaxing boat trip. Well facilities and spacious seating or lying area. It’s a nice traveling experience from Aomori to Hakodate by boat.

The ship is very well-equipped, with window seating areas for resting and dining, as well as cabin areas where you can lie on the floor to relax. The toilets are very clean and have showers available. Luggage can be moved with you and stored in your cabin.

For my 2026 cherry blossom viewing trip, I flew directly from Taiwan to Hakodate. I bought ferry tickets at Kkday first, and then exchanged them for boat tickets directly at the pier – it was really convenient. The cherry blossoms at Hirosaki Castle in Aomori were in full bloom at the same time.
