I took the Shinkansen from Aomori to Hakodate on the way there. On the way back, I saw a blogger recommend taking a ferry. I was initially hesitant because the Shinkansen only takes one hour, while the boat ride would take about four. I'm also prone to seasickness, and I was worried I'd feel unwell on the sea. The boat ride turned out to be fantastic! The weather and sea conditions were perfect that day, and even though I took seasickness medicine beforehand, the boat was surprisingly stable and didn't rock at all. The scenery along the way was truly stunning, and I took tons of beautiful photos on the boat. However, I recommend bringing food and water for the boat ride; there's no water dispenser on board, and the food selection is limited. Overall, I was very satisfied!

This trip specially arranged a ferry trip. Although it took a long time to go back and forth to the pier, it was a good experience. The ferry was very stable and you could see different scenery on the sea. It was a pity that you could not go on the deck after nightfall.

The boat runs smoothly and you can sit by the window to enjoy the sea view. If you are hungry, there are vending machines to exchange sushi and drinks. If you are tired, there are cabins to rest. You can also pay extra to buy special seats to experience the charm of the boat's movement.

There are not enough seats, but the room has pillows, which is good overall. There is a shuttle bus to Aomori, all for 300 yen
