Tobu Motor Company is quite well-organized, and all vehicles are company cars with the company logo on them. They uniformly manage vehicle comfort and adhere to green license plate regulations. The drivers were all friendly, but most were likely Chinese drivers based in Japan. We didn't include a tour guide, but we were later asked to switch to a 10-seater (4 people + 4 28-inch suitcases + 3 carry-on bags), which was very comfortable and enjoyable, though more expensive. The only downside was that the drivers generally didn't offer much advice; you had to plan your own itinerary.

Thank you to our driver, Mr. Shang, for waiting for us to finish taking photos at sunset and for making the effort to get back to the hotel within the ten-hour chartered car time.

Kamikochi is a cool and comfortable place in the summer. Enjoy the cool breeze and the sound of the stream while hiking. I highly recommend a summer trip.
