We took this tour today (March 30th) and it was a fantastic experience. The itinerary is perfect: the Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine felt like a Ghibli movie with all that moss and mist, and seeing the active crater at Mt. Aso was breathtaking. Finishing the day at Kurokawa Onsen was the best way to relax. Note on language: The tour was conducted in Chinese by a very nice lady. However, even for us (speaking Russian and English), everything was perfectly clear and easy to follow. The logistics were spot on, and the bus (1984) was right on time. Highly recommend if you want to see the best of Kumamoto in one day! 10/10.

It was a wonderful trip to Kumanoza Shrine, Mount Aso, Kusasenri and Kurokawa Onsen. Everything was well managed by Sun Peng who kept us entertained and shared useful info along the way. The only unfortunate thing was that it was misty and we did not get to see the crater.

This tour had a very tightly packed schedule like many other tours, and there was limited time to explore each attraction. We were very blessed with good weather and also got to go up to see the Mt Aso volcano crater. The shrine was also magical and peaceful in the morning although the climb up was a little tiring. I really wished we had more time at Kusasenri because I wanted to explore the cafe and souenvir store longer, and also spend more time enjoying the grass field. I felt that the Kurokawa Onsen can be a lot shorter/omitted since most of us are not going for the onsen, and we ended up just walking around to spend time. The tour bus was really small and uncomfortable though, so this is something that needs to be improved on.

Having visited Japan three times, this was my first time joining a day tour. Although Mount Aso was still closed for close-up viewing, our guide, Ms. Kong Yan, not only fulfilled her responsibility to inform us before departure but also arranged a better itinerary to compensate. The driver was excellent, ensuring a comfortable ride even on mountain roads. Ms. Kong's detailed and humorous explanations and interaction with the group made the entire trip anything but boring. The highlight of the trip was Kurokawa Onsen. Ms. Kong not only recommended souvenirs while strolling through the old town but also helped us communicate with the onsen owners, allowing us to choose family-run bathhouses. She even treated everyone to onsen eggs out of her own pocket – we felt incredibly appreciated! The entire trip was amazing and left my husband and me with wonderful memories. Thank you!

Super worth a day trip! Day trip was well arranged, one day to play with several attractions, picturesque scenery, rich activities, good food and fun, perfect day. The highlight was that the tour guide was friendly and introduced the background information of the scenery/attractions well and let us know more about Kumamoto culture.

Before setting off, the weather forecast showed a 90% chance of rain, and I thought, "Oh no, today's definitely not going to be fun." But when I got on the bus, I was surprised to find quite a few fellow travelers from all over the world. The tour guide's very first words captivated us; even my husband, who usually sleeps on the bus, listened intently. The tour guide was incredibly professional, attentively caring for every member of the group. Besides the usual introductions to attractions, popular city spots, and food recommendations, he also shared many little-known facts that are hard to find online. If I could encounter more tour guides like Sun Peng on my travels, I wouldn't mind increasing my participation in group tours. I also have to give a shout-out to our driver 👍. He drove steadily even on rainy mountain roads, and the fact that I, who am prone to motion sickness, didn't experience any problems speaks volumes about his driving skills.

Our tour guide, Mr. Sun, not only introduced the attractions but also shared recommendations from locals in Kumamoto for delicious food and souvenirs. The on-board tour was very interesting and engaging, making it a fantastic first-time experience! Highly recommended!
